    Oy, it never ends.

Deng is doubtful tonight with a calf injury and Bird missed shoot around and is questionable.

We just can't keep anything together for more than a damn game

Henderson would allow the Heat to play small. They can't do that at this point.

makes sense for a team that wants to dump a contract to participate in the FA class of 15'. At his current production, he is an albatross for the Hornets.

For the Heat, it can blow up in their face...but they believe in their culture, and can make him a productive player, or at worst..a valuable expiring contract next year.

What's Whiteside's contract situation? Everything I've seen say it was a 1-yr deal - are there any team options and will he be a UFA or RFA?

Its a two year deal with a team option next season but look for Riley to offer him an extension this coming offseason should he continue to produce. Whiteside will either gamble and stick at the vet minimum for next season to test free agency or accept a raise, my guess is he takes a raise. the guy has barely had work the past five years.

Against Milwaukee at home, I don't think this should ultimately be a problem if the Heat are as good with Whiteside as I think they are.

They don't have a "big three" and so Deng is not part of that. If there's anyone knocking on the door of being part of a "big three" it is Hassan Whiteside, and he will play tonight along with Wade and Bosh.

Considering Whiteside's history of maturity issues, I'm not sure I would want to a veteran like Lance Stephenson next to him. You don't want any bad influences drowning out the voices of the good influences like Wade, Bosh, Haslem, etc. You don't want anyone setting a bad example making Whiteside think he can get away with this or that. I think Whiteside is the potentially premium asset that the Heat should focus resources and energy on making into as perfect an asset as they can.

I think Lance would be fine in a strong lockerroom like Miami's, and particularly 'under' two superstar vets like Wade and Bosh who lead and carry themselves as professionally as they do.

I think you could also look at it the other way and say look at how Whiteside is turning out in that locker room after his checkered past, and see the possibilities of a similar influence on Stephenson.

No doubt trading for him would be a risk, but the reward would also be pretty big. And worst comes to worst, like Section said, he's an expiring deal in 2016.

Never did before, even during the last 4 years.

LeBron James didn't get me to pony up. Hassan Whiteside did, lol

I have Whiteside (still a bargain) and Granger in my big money lineup tonight. If I get 20 fantasy points from Danny I'll be ecstatic. Tried to fit Wade in but the $$ didn't work out.

Here's to another triple double. :ffic:

DJ Augustin, Rose, Beal, Klay Thompson, Jeff Green, Khris Middleton, Z.Randolph, Greg Monroe, Bogut

Not as confident about this one, but we'll see.

Wade killed my big money lineup. Hell, DJ Augustin (36 ff points) has been my 2nd best player (Lebron #1)...lol

    He cost me almost nothing.

I should have stuck to my rule and only do lineups when Harden is playing. I just build around him. I know i'm going to get 45+ fantasy points from him every time.

I'm done with Norris Cole. Dude is GARBAGE!!

If Riley gets anything for him it'll be a miracle.

Heat backup guard play is just disgustingly awful. Need a decent backup SG and PG. Can't stand this garbage anymore.

It's too bad the Celtics don't want to part with Avery Bradley.. he'd fit in the team nicely.. they are stocking up on first round picks though.... maybe an expiring and a few picks will do it.. nothing guaranteed about mid round players anyways.

Yikes. Starting to think the Heat can't make good on their potential simply because they need everyone from Wade to Bosh to Whiteside to Deng to Chalmers be completely healthy in order to be a top five type of team...and it'll just happen too rarely for that to happen. Bad depth.

If they do make the playoffs and they happen to have a run of good health, I think they could make noise. But those chances seem too low of it playing out that way.

Chalmers too. I realize he had a good game tonight, but those have been few and far between this year and he plays his best when Wade is out. Other than that he's been trash. We probably have the worst PG situation in the NBA. If the Heat want to do anything in the playoffs this year or next, that position has to be addressed.

The bottom line is this: Cole sucks, Chalmers sucks, Ennis sucks, Hamilton sucks, Granger sucks, Haslem sucks and Williams sucks. Adding to that Wade is always hurt, Deng is either sick or inconsistent and McBob is done for the season. We're ****ed.

It's also interesting to note that Chris Bosh looked absolutely disgusted when he saw Wade head to the locker room in the third quarter.

Whats going on eith Wade's hamstrings anyways... The guy always has a strain on them, its weird to me that its a lingering injury, its not a knee or someother bone issue that would linger... Seems like every season he strains it about ten times over and then has to miss 3-4 games...

I imagine that all of Wade's lower lower extremity injuries are related to the knees. Overcompensating for what his knees can't do anymore.

But, even if it's a minor strain, I would expect him to miss a week at least. They are extremely cautious with him.

We're in for big trouble if both he and Deng miss significant time. Calf injuries can be tricky so who knows how long Deng will be out.

I imagine Bird will be back Friday, but his absence wasn't a huge problem.
