Kuroda is the most reliable guy on our team. Great job by overbay today too.

I suspect you're saying that so it would unofficially end the Yankees' quest to win the AL East?

The Yankees finish the season away in Houston, I wonder if the Yankees are out of the playoffs if Rivera pitches the final home game at YS then retires so his last game is at home. Just a random thought I had....

Sounds good Fink but I doubt it...such a terrible way to end your career in Houston....and again it harps back to WHY ARE THEY PLAYING AGAINST THE NL IN THE LAST SERIES OF THE YEAR......??

You guys are crazy. He is pitching has last game in Yankee stadium with the off chance it's in St. Louis. But more likely it will be at the stadium. Yanks up 3-1 bottom of the 9th, 1-2-3 inning yanks win, saved the game forAndy and Mo is World Series MVP. That's how it's gonna end for Mo.

Btw, yanks are 30-1 to win World Series at some casinos. Not bad odds to take

Don't get why Girardi held Rivera out of the game with Pedroia, Ortiz and Napoli coming up. I still can't blame in 2013 managers are still holding back their best pitcher for a save chance that may never come.

Also the Yankee offense hasn't hit a HR against the Sox in the last 6 games, last time that happened was in 1967.

Have you been watching the same Yankee team all year that I have? That offense is bad, like really bad. Sure anything is possible but I can't see how the Yankees finish higher than 3rd right now. This isn't your typical Yankee team right now.

I think it's interesting that Arod hurts himself yet still plays the following day. Wonder if the Yankees signed off on it, Arod wasn't truthful as far as how bad it was or if he hurt it in the following game. Either way the Arod/Yankee circus continues.

Bad is an understatement. They are awful. They do play tricks on you when you think their offense is clicking but that is rare. I do give Girardi a lot if credit though, to have this team still in contention and still above .500 is amazing. Just look at their roster. Half these guys wouldn't be starting on other teams. I think we'll get the rest of the gang back to late. Only reason to watch this year is for Mo. If you think this year is bad, well buckle up, not going to be fun for a while

Just listened to John Harper on the FAN and he thinks this is the beginning of him building a case of trying to get on the Physically Unable to Perform List, that way he could retire from baseball and still be payed that contract.....

    That coupled with this......

    http://espn.go.com/boston/mlb/story...einer-mlbpa-head-says-union-protect-ped-users

and it seems A-Rod is going to cunning lengths to try to keep that money......

keep rooting for him through JT......

The problem with getting the rest of the gang back (which is just Jeter, Arod and Granderson) is what you'll get out of them production wise, especially with Jeter and Arod.

I mean think about it Fink, they are talking about a PLEA deal at 150 games, a plea?!!? I mean you are basically looking at this year AND 2/3's of next year? I think at this point is motive is shifting from playing to protecting his money....

Granderson is a wash, they are going to offer him arbitration and hope he says no, if yes I am fine with a 1yr deal for 13M, I "David Ortiz" Granderson until he declines and they get the pick....

A-Rod is cooked, he head and body arent in it, he has bigger things to worry about.......I actually expect more out of Jeter than him....and Jeter to come back and "do what he does" doesn't take alot, he gets on base and scores runs, never was a big numbers guy except those 2.......IMO A-Rod has more pressure because he is expected to deliver the numbers.....

Not to mention next year is Jeter's last year, and I don't really care what he does, I will just enjoy seeing him play one last time, as with Mo this year....

I don't actually understand the report that he would take a plea for 150 games when if he shut his mouth and gets suspended it would only be for 100 games. Either way I've stopped reading articles/reports on this stuff. No one has any clue or idea what the heck is going on and it's just a bunch of (bad) guesses for now. I'm just waiting to see what actually happens.

Considering the Yankees rank dead last in almost ever offensive number at the 3B position even Arod at 60% would probably be an upgrade. I'm going to assume Granderson will be fine when he returns. Jeter who knows, I mean the guy was a DH for 1 game and got himself hurt. Will definitely be interesting but it's realistically probably too late for them to make a run. Even with those guys they still don't have a lot of pop in the line up.

The article goes on how a person w/o a previous test could get that many games and also how that you don't have to test positive per se to violate the policy....

missed the playoffs once in twenty years. we're two three games out of the wildcard and marlins fans talk smack after going scoreless in how many innings in a row? amazing how desperate people are in taking joy in yankees misfortune. we are having an average year by baseball standards and people are acting like we're the friggin marlins or something. i think the next dynasty will have to reel off ten in a row. i just want a complete decade of dominance next time we build our dynasty. until then let's concentrate on sneaking into the playoffs while the marlins fans can concentrate on giving their hard earned money to the marlins owners for their monument to fecal stench

You're sensitive right now so I guess it's that time of the month for you females.

You have a great history but right now you are in a really bad position. Oldest team in the league with a high payroll locked into players like A-Rod and Texeira? No thanks, I would rather be Miami right now. You're in for a playoff drought guy!
