well coming up on the last five minutes. lets see what kind of spine the pacers have. if they can stay unforced error free they should win.

well thats game. nicely disciplined game by pacers. heat are going to have problems with hibbert. i would try to maximize anderson's time. if i can get 30 minutes out of him i would. he's the only one who can play hibbert

Heat won't have any problems with this series period. This is exactly what everyone should have expected game one. Calling it now, Heat by 9 in game two.

Pretty hard to come back when you're simply not allowed to play defense.

And when you get smashed driving the ball its not a foul. But hey that is home court in the NBA.

Everyone agrees officials in the NBA are garbage but when you say something its "whining".

It is what it is. We still played terrible but when you're in the penalty with 9 minutes left in the quarter you can't win

Can't win when you're not allowed to play. FT disparity says it all.

I honestly don't think it's a must win at all.

The FT discrepancy tonight was terrible, and it wasn't from a lack of driving. Just a lack of fouls. I actually thought the refs did a great job in the first half allowing both teams to play physical. They just stopped letting one of the two do it at halftime.

Hoped for the demoralizing win today but expected the loss. No way the pacers win game 2. I dont complain about calls much, but WOW. Not sure why i expected less.

Sure the Heat got a bunch of no calls but the game would have still been lost by may be a lesser margin I think. The defense was not what it should be. They were too slow with the 3rd or 4th guy rotating to the open guy off pick and rolls. Then they don't rebound well. It's easily correctable as they'll read the Pacer's plays better for the next game.

I would prefer that they activate Oden and get him to defend the paint. With a bigger line up they should match up better. But I think Spo is ok sticking with a small group, double teaming in the paint and let the Pacers kick it back outside for 3s. Pacers were 6/7 on 3s to start then 2/12 so it's not a bad tactic if you think the start was an anomaly. The Heat shot poorly from outside and if your team is built to shoot 3s there's no excuse for that.

It was just an ugly game man.
We can complain about refs all we want, but they couldn't miss a shot. Let's see how Miami adjusts for Tuesday.

Does anyone know why it is a Pacer was allowed to shoot 4 straight free throws yesterday?

He only shot 3. It was a shooting foul and then a flagrant - each of which should call for 2 FTs (plus the ball after the flagrant.) Apparently there is a rule that if a flagrant happens on a shooting foul, the flagrant penalty is reduced from 2 FTs to 1.

Haslem also owns Hibbert. Hibbert sucked in this game.

Heat made more FG's than Indiana. But Indiana had a 37 to 15 FT Disparity. That is the game. They also had a 26 to 15 PF disparity. NO TEAM can win like that. I'm actually surprised that it was this close. The NBA can be so predictable some times.

Accuscore had Indiana as a overwhelming favorite for game 1 as soon as the Official crew got announced, and had the Heat in 6 overall before the series. They had the Heat as a Heavy favorite in game 2.

The NBA can sometimes be so stupid, that they decided to put a finger on the scale for Indiana in game 1, and now decided that they went to far, and put a finger on the scale for Miami in game 2.

You will know the fix is in if you see Danny Crawford or Jason Phillips in game 2. How bout, call it fair and let the best team win?

Playing all those small lineups put Lebron in the P&R guarding the Big man, and he was terrible all night. There is one simple adjustment for game 2 that saves us at least 10 points.

From my understanding you shoot four only if you miss one.... Basically max of three points from free throws in that situation.

The entire sequence was ridiculous. I was shocked it was a flagrant at all, but Jeff Van Douchey's over the top hyperbole, like Chalmers was channeling his inner Bill Laimbeer or Kermit Washington was even more ridiculous.

Jeff Van Gundy has invented new rules whole cloth, like verticality, that somehow become actual things in the league. I don't get it.

Heat had 54 pts in the paint. They drew 4 fouls with paint attacks.

Make of that what you will.

You are only allowed to score 3 points in one trip to the line. Since the sequence ended up with four free throws, you then get four shots to make 3 points.
