Frankly I agree. I have a hard time seeing it BUT SAS is plugged in, maybe to Lebron directly because he did have the scoop on the three going to South Beach. What worries me frankly is that Riley HATES the Dolan family and will go to any length to screw them (which I cant say Dolan doesnt deserve since not even Knick fans like him). Somehow the Knicks almost always come out on the short end of these "rumors".

NYK, Miami, and LAL are the 3 most likely locations IF it does happen. Like I said, the opt out next year will tell us a lot whether it does or does not happen. If the opt outs happen, its not the Knicks and probably would be LAL. If it happens in 15 its NYK or Miami.

SAS did not have the Bosh/Bron/Wade to Miami scoop. Chris Broussard somehow, inexplicably did.

Lebron would do well to string the Lakers and Knicks along. But especially the Knicks. Just as Sith Lord Riley intends.

The guy/person that gave Stephen A Smith the Big Three stuff is not somebody that would feed him something like this.

I am about 95% sure that Stephen A Smith is full of **** with this.

Think about it like this, if he was really that close to Melo, he would have been at his engagement party, and he wasn't. the Emcee was Wade. I can find dozens and dozens of pics of Brons' fiancee with Gabby Union, and the two couples out on the town. I can;t find one with LaLa and Bron's fiancee Savannah.

Melo NEVER works out with Bron in the offseason.

Bron's workout guys are: Kevin Durant, Al Harrington, Jamal Crawford, Dwyane Wade.

Melo works out with the Chris Paul crew that includes, David West, Trevor Ariza, JR Smith and Ty Lawson.

    none of the above.

Melo "maybe" to LAL..and only if the Knicks are a disaster this coming year...and I mean a DISASTER..as in losing 4-1 in the 1st round.

Nobody is leaving here for that dumpster fire in LA. Believe it or not..the Knicks are in better shape than that franchise in LA.

That's not how I recall it happening. Broussard broke it and SAS was saying Bron to the Knicks. My recollection, anyway.

Lebron will NOT risk another media shun by leaving Miami for anywhere other than Cleveland. As great as he is he still is sensitive to his image. No way he comes to NY or leaves for LA.

As far as Melo?? Hell who knows.

LeBron is good friends with Melo. He's also good friends with Chris Paul, Durant, Kevin Love, Wade, Bosh, and a bunch of other players.

LeBron is a very popular guy.

    Nope.

SAS broke it on his radio show in New York, and then went on Lebby's show and repeated it.

Broussard was the one that confirmed it the morning of the "decision". SAS had it 10 days prior.

Youre probably right that SAS is full of it BUT because he was correct with the first one, we cant completely dismiss it. Who gave SAS the Big Three stuff?

I get what youre saying about workout crews and how Lala and Savannah dont hang together but Lebron and Melo have had a mutual respect going back to HS/AAU when Melo's team beat Lebrons.

SAS originally said Lebron to NYK and then later found out that the original source was wrong and said that Wade-Bosh-Bron were going to Miami. I took it with a grain of salt but should have known better because nothing EVER goes that well for the Knicks

Then SAS just got lucky, because we all know Lebron didn't decide till that morning.

As far as I know....the Heat didn't "know" the day before....but they felt an unusual amount of confidence that it was a two team race on Day 1 of FA. They thought it was either them or Cleveland and nobody else.

Will say this...Chris Bosh had a camera crew and a partnership to produce a documentary of that summer of 2010. The piece needed funding. There is (IMO) enough evidence to show that both Bosh and Wade bull****ted their way through their "visits" and that sunk the Documentary.

Also interesting that Chicago pulled their offer to Wade...and had made their FIRST offer to Bosh. Bosh ignored their offer for 7 days and showed up for a visit 5 days after he was made the offer. strange things happened with those two, while sharing the same agent.

    Now..here is an interesting thing:

    Bron, Wade, Bosh..All CAA.

Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra? Signed with CAA two years ago.

That documentary would be bought for 10M by ESPN and turned into an all time great 30 for 30 ( run Ricky run #1) too bad it never happened but I'm sure it would've been interesting.

Why would LeBron be dying to play with Melo? Bron understands the game and the history of the game and what works. He just battled through Pacers and Spurs teams that were tough and defensive minded. I just don't see LeBron looking at Melo's game and thinking that was his best shot at winning additional rings.

When I think back at these Finals, where does Melo fit in that series? Or against the Pacers? He's an INCREDIBLE scorer, but is he doing enough of the other things that win games against those types of playoff series?

Agreed, this is the next media story line:

"Bron will opt out of his deal in Miami"

SOS just a different day, they have to talk about something.

Glad to see Chris Paul resign with the Clippers, which is yet another FU to the lakers.

Can't help but think perhaps you're overthinking it a little bit. Melo is a fantastic player. Lebron is the best basketball player in the world. Give that a year to gel like it eventually did in Miami with Wade and Bosh, and it would be deadly. And it would prolong the "MOE RINGZZZ" mission indefinitely.

I think it's a legitimate threat depending on how Dwyane Wade's health goes from here.

To me, with the return of Birdman and the progress of Sharknado, amnestying Joel Anthony seems like a no-brainer. Am I wrong on that?

I've had the same thought. Miller gives you more $$$ but he has been huge in portions of the Finals. The Warden is a nice defensive piece but he is such an offensive liability we can't let him see the floor when the games matter. Are we really losing much downgrading him to Vernado?

Even if Lebron stays this team will have to be rebuilt next year. I'm pretty sure Ray Allen and Shane Battier are both gone after this year regardless of outcome. I can see Miller retiring as well.

The silver lining on everything is Riley. After all he's delivered how can you have anything but trust in the man. Also makes one HELL of a sales pitch.

Yes. because 3.8 million is not worth amnestying. Besides, he has value. he is still one of the best post defenders int eh NBA, and he provides depth behind Bird and UD.

Look what using your amnesty provision "willy nilly" means. Look at the Knicks. They used it on Billups prematurely, and now, WHEN THEY DESPERATELY NEED IT for Amare..they are screwed.

Think about it....using Amnesty on Billups might have cost the Knicks.....CHRIS PAUL.

Interesting thing about amnestying The Warden....

it does move them below the 4th Tax bracket and keeps them at dollar for dollar for another season.

So if you really want to save about 10 million total....then sure..use it.

    I would recommend against it.

If it's only 3.8 million you're saving that's one thing. But the quote above says 10 million, and that's quite another story. Varnado is right up in the SEC history books with Shaquille O'Neal as far as his ability to consistently block shots, and he continues to show that ability in summer league play. He's more athletic than Joel too. I think I'd rather have Varnado and 10 million dollars than Varnado and Anthony, when you've already got Bosh, Haslem and Birdman.
