Discussing the "Big three" Era and the 4 finals in a row. Like i said you guy were 28 seconds from being 1 better then the Bills. The Heat are a great team no doubt but i think overhyped and hell people are already having you win next year and who knows what the roster is going to look like!

 

Well I have NEVER been one to disparage the Spurs but I think you have a serious hate issue with The Heat and it shows in how you twist the facts to support your notion tha they are overrated.

They are a three time champion in the last eight years with five finals appearances. Everything else is just noise.

Had a 66 win season to go with the second longest win streak in NBA history.

Did not lose two playoff games in a row for almost three years.

Won a playoff game on the road in EACH and every series they have EVER played.

Had three all-stars each of the 4 years.

Won Two Championships.

Those achievements have NEVER been matched by any team in NBA History.

Rumors are flying that The Lakers are jumping into the Warriors-Timberwolves trade as a third. Essentially, Klay goes to L.A., Love to Golden State and the seventh pick to Minnesota. I am sure there are other piece a moving as well, but that is the bulk of the deal being reported as being in discussions.

 

You forgot to mention the Dolphins played sub part competition. Where's that asterisk next to "Undefeated", huh?

Explain how they always have better win% vs. The west? Why did they beat the West champ twice?

Then tell me who exactly did jordan beat to make his finals...and which of those teams was better than any of the heat's ECF opponents.

The Riley Knicks teams were arguably the 2nd best team most years Jordan won a title early on. The Pistons were a really good team early on too. The East has been pathetic during the Heats run, its not really an arguable point. That doesn't mean the Heat aren't an all time great team, but the East has been a joke. Remember, Lebron took the CAVS to the Finals....the Cavs....made it through the East.

Some of the hate for the Heat and the criticism is just noise, some of it isn't. They were demolished this year. The finals were a joke. Look at Denver in the Superbowl, there were great in the regular season, had one of the best seasons offensively....ever, but they were a joke in the Superbowl, their team can't be considered an all time great team. Miami's overall run is great but this years team wasn't great, great teams don't get annihilated in 5 games. Great teams don't get mentally and physically dominated like they were against the Spurs.

Some of the hype is ESPN generated, some of it was a case of Miami being their own worst enemy. Declaring themselves a dynasty and predicting 6 or 7 championships was not very smart. If it weren't for those type of proclamations, winning 2 of 4 would be considered a great achievement, but even by their own standards they were disappointing. The way the team was created was unprecedented and created a ton of animosity from fans. People hate the team, its not fair but they are not liked by fans outside of Miami. Jordan's Bulls were liked, Magic's Lakers were liked, the Spurs are liked, the Heat are hated. Its not fair necessarily but it is true.

...and now we have Lebron Freeagency Drama Part II? I mean really? I think if the Heat pull another collusion number and add Melo its only going to get worse for them around the league. The standards will go up and the hate will go up. I'd like to see the Heat retool and I genuinely like Lebron a lot, he's the best player by a very large margin, I think he will rank at the very top or close to it when all is said and done but jeeze another offseason of "What Will Lebron Do?" as a fan this just drives me nuts. This type of stuff is why fans hate the Heat and dismiss some of their accomplishments, it just isn't an enjoyable run to watch like the Lakers or Bulls were, its frustrating for fans outside of the Heat fans because there is so much other distracting crap to take in, we can't just enjoy a great team on a great run.

 

Detroit bad boys, Dominique Wilkins Hawks, Riley/Ewing Knicks, Shaq/Penny Magic, Reggie Miller Pacers, Riley/Zo/Hardaway Heat. They were all better than the rest of the eastern conference of the last two years, at least.

There are lots of good points to make about how good this Heat team has been. But saying they've been consistently tested by legit contenders in the Eastern Conference is not one of them.

None of those teams come close to the 2011and 2012 Celtics. The 2011 bulls and the last two pacer teams had historically good defenses.

Riley is a great coach but he doesn't play on the floor. He couldn't guard MJ or Pippen.

A lot of "great" teams got demolished in a series. Some of them not in the nba finals....which is worse.
