Yeah all the cougars I've seen are between 5"3 and 5"8 with DD's, blonde and curvy. Lebrons mom needs to get with the program here...
Sooo what would Knick fans do if Miami won it's last 14 games and swept through the playoffs it isn't happening....but a hypothetical.
If they don't build a decent team around Irving he'll leave (he'll sign the first extension and then leave after that.) But things look much better than the LeBron rebuild. Irving is a stud, Tristan Thompson looks to be a solid player, Dion Waiters has shown some major flashes amid some also very questionable shot selection, and Varejao was averaging 14&14 before his (admittedly common) injury. They will have probably a top 5 pick plus the #15 pick this year and are owed multiple more first rounders and have a TON of cap space. So Irving may leave, but there's more hope than with LeBron. I think they're hoping someone like Love or Horford become available to use some of these assets.
Yes he is. Thats why the Knicks passed on waiving Kurt Thomas or Rasheed Wallace for him. Id say props but I still hate the Miami Heat.
Honestly when I look at the Cavs I feel like they should be winning more than they do. There is definitely talent there in Cleveland right now but it isn't translating into wins. Probably due to overall youth and a few injuries of course. Cavs could have a bright future going. I at least see them as a playoff team, and the bottom of the East is weak so anywhere from the #5 to #8 seed will be up for grabs for you guys in the near future at the least.
You should have seen the original post. There were about 3 more un-mod-like lines I had to stop myself from adding
No one is saying that they should have tanked. I'm saying that they didn't build enough of a team. It doesn't matter if that was b/c of the time constraints of FA or b/c free agents didn't want to come to Cleveland. The point is that's not on Lebron and the hate directed at him was misplaced.
I do find the argument that the streak may be more impressive than a championship interesting. I think it's very likely that 25 years from now people would still talk about the Heat winning 35 in a row (or whatever number if they do beat the streak) and never mention the championship (if they win it this year) other than to include it in the number of titles won (.ie the franchise had x number of titles or Lebron or Wade has x number of rings). Now if the Heat did win three or four championships in a row or something wild like that then that would be more talked about in terms of history. But in terms of what they could actually accomplish this year, I could see the argument that the streak is more impressive historically. I really wasn't watching the regular season with much interest until now. The streak has made it compelling for me. At a minimum, I think it has given the team more focus. It is definitely worth going after.
We are agreeing. That is my point....they didnt build the right team. Whether it was by poor choices or sheer impossibility.
I think the streak is more impressive (should they break it) than the championship would be. Similarly, going 70-12 would be more impressive than a championship to me as well.
Impressive but ultimately pointless no? I mean if someone asked you at the start of the season would you rather your team go 82-0 or win a championship Id choose championship... I get your point though. Some team wins the title every year but records like this stand sometimes for 40+
I think a championship validates the streak. The streak is a bigger accomplishment but it means less without a banner.
Exactly. I didn't remember the Rockets won 22 in a row even though it was only what....four seasons ago? I realize that isn't the record but I bet we'd remember had they won 22 and the title.
One more playoff win and they can match their recent number of playoff victories to our recent number of championships.
The streak is its own validation, but a championship will make people remember it. No one cares that the Rockets won 22 straight games. The Lakers' 33 win streak is remembered because they won a championship at the end of that season and legendary NBA figures were involved. The same ingredients exist for the Heat.
They booed Tim Couch relentlessly, and he nearly cried in the presser talking about it. Wich is ultimately why he never succeeded....mental midget.
LOOOL I love this team so much. D-Wade in a suit doing the post game interview with Lebron, pretending he isn't D-Wade LOL
Id tune in but I'm watching Miami vs Illinois. Heat related. I love how our players treat Jason Jackson like crap post game. The guy is annoying and a tool but its harmless fun.
