Sarcasm is angers ugly cousin. I haven't proclaimed NY the champs just said they are going to be a tough out....yet angry Heat fan can't help themselves but "hate". Ahhh the irony. Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk 2
Talking outta your behind because a team you don't like is doing well, doesn't make you a better fan. A few of you fo your best to turn this into something it's not solely because your jaded by all NY teams. Knicks are back love it or keep hating it. Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk 2
Lol, I think you are mistaking disdain for anger. The Heat's opposition are the Thunder and maybe the Spurs. The Knicks are an appetizer.
Then why so bitter? If i were a Pacers fan you guys would likely blow off anything i post. Now?? Because its NY and because they are a threat, its an onslaught of hate. Silly rabbits. Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk 2
The Pacers are a better team than the Knicks. It's because we are all sick of hearing a team that will be lucky to be a second round ejection being pimped as a contender because its from NY. New year same stupidity.
The stupidity is all in your first sentence. Thanks for validating your basketball knowldege. Have a great Thursday. Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk 2
Nothing stupid about the truth. Say high to them and Brooklyn when they pass you in the standings. You had a month of excessive three point shooting and now you are coming back down to earth and that winning percentage just keeps dropping and dropping. But hey, you can always pound your chest when you beat teams like Detroit.
When the news first broke of Dwight Howard and his labrum, I said to himself "the guy isnt comin back from that" I literally just had that surgery 2 weeks ago to repair a tear in my labrum......when I tell you at the end right before the surgery how painful it was, I really can't....not only the pain, but more importantly your range of motion in the shoulder is reduced by over 60% I couldnt even lift my shoulder to my chin.... Granted he is 10000000000X stronger than I, but still again range of motion....that guy isnt coming back and if he does he will be useless as he has been.....especially if it comes back slightly torn...
Dont tell the Knicks fans that. Because no superstar would ever reject a Noo Yawk team. Except alll the times they did. Because NY teams suck dick. (except for maybe the Giants and Yankees)
He looks like a shell out in LA. If he weren't still basically in a contract year I think he would be sidelining himself.
Sorry if it's been discussed here before - but what do Heat fans see happening in 2014 when the big 3 can opt-out? What are the rumors around town? If things are going well, will they not rock the boat and opt out? Will they try to re-sign all 3? Will they let one go and try to move forward with a big 2?
I'm curious myself. Will Arrison keep shelling out big bucks to pay the luxury tax for this team? If they can afford to and they're still winning championships then its awful hard for the big three to walk away. But there is no guarantee Arrison can keep spending that much money. Obviously Lebron is the primary concern, but could we keep him without one of the others?
Also - this is probably blasphemous here - but will Wade be worth another full max in 2 years? I know he's having a great season, but it isn't crazy to think he'll be pretty broken down to guarantee not only that contract but also the luxury tax.
I don't know that it is blasphemous. Here's another scenario. Lets say in a couple of years Wade is in further decline. Is it possible to appease Lebron we let him walk and sign another max guy?
http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/sto...cks-most-valuable-nba-team-los-angeles-lakers Horrible fans, an overrated MSG, and a perennial loser. Odd.
He won't ask for a full max. that solves that. remember that he already took a 20 million dollar pay cut, and left money on the table with his 5th year extension.
If things are going well? they won a championship and have a free ride in the east. All three will opt out to get longer deals. It is just smart business for both the Heat and the Big 3. they gain cap space in 2014 with two large role player contracts going off the books soon (miller, UD). They will keep all three, with massaged salary totals. the bench will be rebuilt in 2014.
Knicks a threat to what? It's going to be another year of 3-1 for you guys once we meet in the playoffs. Knicks are still a joke who deserve 0 respect as a serious contender.
Actually, Arison barely breaks even with the Heat. It's a hobby to him. Gotta love it.Carnival Cruise Lines, batches!
The begins to change drastically with this season, according to last year's Forbes franchise index. The team is supposed to begin raking in the cash, starting this year. I would say so, considering that they have raised ticket prices 50% and have sold out the next 3 years.
I remember something being kicked around about a television deal like the Lakers have but nothing ever seemed to solidify.
that's coming. BTW...The Miami Heat are a fabulous organization........But they LIE A LOT when it comes to their finances.
You think he'll be that likely to leave money on the table again, since this will be his last contract, more than likely? Also - is it a given Mike Miller opts out? Is he going to just give up $6 million when he won't be getting that on the open market in 2 years?
Yes. I think he will leave money on the table again. His salary from the Heat represents about 35% of his total income. To Bron it reps about 20% Miller's contract expires. So does UD's. Heat will be in really good shape Cap wise if all three opt out and re-do max deals. The new CBA is very friendly going forward.
the only way the Heat get screwed is if all three OPT IN for their last 2 years. then the Heat would pay a large luxury tax. Brand new max deals for all three are worth less than their max deals going forward with the last two option years. (Tax wise)
I'm just using Rotoworld, so it could be off - but it shows UD and Miller as having player options for '14-'15, the same year as the Big 3. Wouldn't at least Miller pick his up that year? Also - Wade will be 32 by then - do you think Bron / Bosh will still want to hitch on to his next 4 years or is there a chance they move forward with just Bron/Bosh and try to fill out the bench / lure in a different star to replace Wade.
