It's not a matter of starting a debate; it's a matter of your premise being completely baseless, because for some reason you still don't know how the Heat play basketball. Picking Conley because he's a "floor general"? Depending on the definition, the Heat can field an entire starting lineup of floor generals. At absolute minimum they already have two. There is no need or even a want for another of that same type.
I did predict he would win ROY...hes well on his way. And he may eventually be the best PG. Upside is tremendous and he scores when needed. Like an in control Russell Westbrook with a better jumper, though less athletic. So far 19ppg/6.1APG/3.2RPG/1.5SPG/447 FG%/833 FT % and a 2-1 Assist to TO ratio. Off to a great start.
This. Our main PG is a guy named Lebron James. We do t need someone to take the ball and make James and Wade play off it. We need guys who can spot shoot and play defense.
Conley but not because he's a floor general. It's Conley because he has a much better outside game, and is much less ball dependent than Westbrook.
New Orleans had no chance tonight. None. No Davis, no Gordon, not a chance in hell. Melo had 19points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds by the end of the first quarter. He played 27 or so minutes and finished with 29/6/5....Knicks were bombing away from 3. Felton was draining em like crazy.
Hopefully they keep the trend going! @Ian Bagley (ESPN NY) #Knicks are 8-1 for 3rd time in franchise history. The previous 2 seasons they started 8-1, in 1969-70 & 1972-73, they won championships. Also thought this would be fun: And people say Kobe shoots too much? Whats more impressive: 138 points or taking 104 shots (in a college game): http://www.sbnation.com/college-bas...innell-college-138-points-ncaa-scoring-record
Lakers had their first quality win last night. Kobe was brilliant as usual, but World Peace has found the fountain of youth. He is playing great over the past week, if not longer. Really impressed with him on both ends. Dwight was a stat filler. Double double as per usual, with four or five blocks. Absolute dog**** from the line though.mone of the worst performances I have ever seen. It wasn't that he simply missed them, but how he missed them. Rodman-esque. Except Rodman seriously didn't care. Dwight was actually trying...and air balling. Yikes. Anyhow, the Nets are going to be a contender. Solid team everywhere. They remind me of the old Malone-Stockton led Jazz. Just solid, hard working basketballers.
The Nets are gonna be a contender? for what? You mean, when they sign Dwight Howard next year? then yeah, they will be a decent team. "Quality win" is not the term I would use for that Laker abortion last night.
I gotta disagree with you there buddy. They're maybe the 5th best team in the East right now. They'd be the 6th best if Rose were healthy. They have 6 wins, and 4 of those came against Toronto (lol) Orlando twice, and Cleveland. They did beat Boston, who we know will phone in the season until April when they decide to get hot and be a pain in the Heat's *** come playoff time.
It was a nice surprise to get Love back. He lit it up in the first half but 2nd half was ugly. Team didn't look like it meshed out there and Derrick Williams didn't see the floor due to being outplayed by Cunningham.
Knicks defense was non existent tonight. Guess its to be expected on the last leg of a road back to back.
It wasnt terrible in the first half, they allowed 49 in the first half. The 2nd half it was atrocious. They didnt stop the dribble-drive from Collison-Mayo-Carter at all. Kidd played a great game offensively but was a major liability on D despite what the 5 steals may say. Felton didnt bring the D tonight either. And for whatever reason Brewer didnt really get the minutes that he needed to bring the D.
Bosh is the under rated cog that makes the entire thing work. I'd actually go as far as saying he is probably one of the most under rated players in the NBA by casual fans (or even hardcore fans who mainly follow their team). I don't care if he's straight, fruity, into beastiality or whatever. I'm glad he's on my team.
i swear bosh dips his hands in butter before every game its unreal how many times he just drops the ball
that was a funky game refs kept us in it early and then tried to take it away in the 4th ray is so huge for this team though heat are deadly now in these close games
BTW, Ray Allen scored 15 points in the 4th quarter.....and hit the go ahead Three with 11 seconds left. Oh..we aren't debating that Jason Terry / Ray Allen thing anymore..... damn it.
No Hyperbole.... This Heat team is the 4th best NBA team I have ever seen. 1. 95-96' Bulls 2. 84'-85' Lakers 3. 00-01' Lakers 4. 12-13' Heat
The NYK failed to play any D at all that game. But as importantly what teams have been doing vs Houston is packing it in down low because theyve been playing great offensively and outscoring just about everyone.
Its still a young season. At this point in their careers I still think Terry will be the better player by the end of the year. Its not that outrageous when tehir stats are basically similar... Terry: 515 FG %/426 3 pt %/86% FT/11.5PPg/1 SPG/2 RPG/2 APG 27 minutes a game Allen: 505 FG%/522 3 pt %/84 % FT/ 12 PGG/ 1 SPG/ 3 RPG/ 27 minutes a game
****ing Wolves, man. Playing like **** in the 2nd half. I think their stat line was 12 BASKETS in the 2nd half. ****ing dreadful. Kevin Love sucked it up tonight also plays NO DEFENSE. Is there another team out there with worse team management?
I'm already anxious for the playoffs. Upper echelon teams will just coast to finish line, then the intensity will pick up and we will see who is the best.
