Mhm. Youth in this town under 20 likely have never witnessed a Dolphins playoff win. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk HD
This was posted on reddit a few days ago which I thought was very interesting regarding the Heat/Lakers similarities...
it's wrong information the heat big free agency haul was not in 2011, it was in 2010 the 2011 mavericks were an offensive minded team that won by shooting a bunch of 3pters, they were not a defensive minded team like the celtics 2008 the lakers won in 2010 because kendrick perkins went down to injury after the celtics went up 3-2. spurs didn't lose tim duncan to injury, miami simply just won. and game 6 was a miracle victory that could not be planned in advance.
All joking aside, with the three's he's been dropping, Battier could celebrate at McDonald's for all I care. I'd imagine that'd be a heck of a conversation starter.
Why the hell did Bron have gold teeth in his mouth, come on Bron you are better than that....don't be like these half-wit rappers, it is just a stupid look and Bron is so far above that......but he drunk and I would have probably done the samething hahahahahah
The Heat deliver, no late game derp's, no missed FG's, they just come through. Dolphins choke constantly, sad reality, it is what it is. Ray Allen did not look at his hands dumbfounded as we saw so many Dolphins plays do, he simply nailed the 3 pt shot with 5 seconds left in the game and said "..put those mother ****ing ropes away.." Dolphins have lacked that sort of competence for a very long time.
The should play the song "Keep those balls in the air" during future shootarounds. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk HD

Here's a detailed account of the things Dwyane Wade dealt with injury-wise in the playoffs. Pretty bad. http://bigstory.ap.org/article/wade-needed-knee-drained-play-game-7-finals I found this quote very interesting. I gotta give Spo credit. The narrative of the time between Games 6 and 7 was all about how crappy Dwyane Wade is, the fact that the Heat were -1748297 points when he was in the game, how the Heat are much better off inserting other shooters in the game to keep the floor spaced and allow Lebron James to attack the basket. Wade clearly needed to step back, admit he's too hurt to be effective, and let the shooters take over. I did not agree with that because I did not think Popovich would open up the paint for Lebron James no matter which shooters were on the floor. I thought the best thing the Heat could do so that they could fire as many bullets at the Spurs as possible, was to get Dwyane Wade going very EARLY in the game so that he would not feel the knee because he would be having success. The Heat needed the extra scoring. I think Spo ended up feeling the same way and I think the strategy worked out the best for the Heat. The problem with relying on Lebron attacking the paint and then kicking out to shooters as your primary offensive strategy is, you live and die with those shooters' success. And despite Shane Battier's heroics, the shooters did not show up. Mike Miller was 0 for 4 from 3 point land. Ray Allen was 0 for 2. Mario Chalmers was 1 for 7 with his only make being that ridiculous 60 foot shot at the buzzer heading into the 4th quarter. Chris Bosh kicked out to the arc one time and missed it. When they ran offense and kicked the ball out to those four players to drain it from the arc, they were essentially 0 for 13. Shane Battier helped make up for that with the hot hand going 6 for 8, but that still made your non-Lebron shooters in your half-court offense only 6 for 21, not counting that buzzer beater from Chalmers. You're not going to win the basketball game with that, so if the Heat had relied on this as their primary weapon they may have lost Game 7, IMO. Instead the Heat got Wade involved early and often, which gave them the much needed third consistent scoring threat as the shooters struggled and Chris Bosh got out of rhythm. Wade played 39 minutes with Chalmers at 40 minutes and Lebron at 45 minutes. I think that was a really good call from Spo and I think some other coaches wouldn't necessarily have made that call especially as you read that Wade had to have his knee drained and rehabbed for 8 freaking hours all the way through tip-off just to get out there. A lot of coaches would have looked at that, looked at the fact that in Game 6 he hurt the second knee and it's not just one bad knee anymore, would have looked at how the Heat played with shooters on the floor during those runs that broke open some games during the series, looked at Wade's being -52 for the series...and either shut him down completely, or subbed him in sparingly. But Spoelstra knew what he could get out of his player with everything on the line. On the flip side, Popovich thought he knew what he could get out of Manu Ginobili with all of the marbles on the line...and he ended up wrong. Consistently.
Manu needs to hang em up or be strictly a role player. Hes a shell of what he was and cant be counted on for any kind of consistent turnover free play
Well, The Spurs will still have Parker for at least four more years. Btw, I'm totally enjoying reading the comments on ESPN articles regarding the Heat.
Pfft. Not half as athletic as Jared Odrick. He also made the decision to force one of the NBA's best shooting teams to win by… shooting. Some of the fundamental assumptions Popovich made going into the series backfired on him.
While that is correct. We all know how ridiculously close we came to being somber all summer long. It almost worked. Almost.
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/another-nba-title-pat-riley-miami-heat-reopens-132400172.html Media just continues to "hate" on the Knicks...no one cares about the Riley debacle anymore?? That died with an Alan Houston buzzer beater. We ain't got no worries. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
I do too. Actually will always be my first and deepest love. Just sad how an organization that was a model of excellence has degenerated into complete mediocrity in the last two decades.
Well you guys need to make it to the ECF against us soon so we can relive our rivalry in a meaningful setting.
Living in Columbus the Buckeyes are near and dear too my heart. But NOTHING would compare too seeing a Miami Dolphins SB victory. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
My parents met as season ticket holders in the same section in 1970. The Dolphins Digest immediately before the Superbowl in the perfect season shows a screaming fan on the cover and says "Jimny the Greek predicts Dphins victory." The screaming fan is my Aunt Peggy. The team is in my DNA in almost a literal sense. My father passed away when I was 14, but one of my enduring memories was spending every Sunday on the couch watching the games. The Heat championship still has me on cloud nine. But NOTHING would have the same emotional resonance to me as a Dolphins Superbowl victory.
Seeing I don't have any attachment to the heat, I look at them with a broad big picture outlook, I hold them to a certain standard relative to what I believe they should accomplish with that kind of talent on one team, and what they have proclaimed they think they will become..so far, it's been ok, not off the charts impressive, but that could change, I think they have to become a dynasty or I don't think they would of reached the potential of their talent level, their not a pretty offensive team, but a supreme defensive one, Lebron is the best player right now, but I wouldn't take Lebron over Jordan or Majic in a 7 game series if those guys had the same supporting players around..When I watch the heat I'm trying to figure out his place with the all time greats in terms of basketball skill and leadership.
BACK TO BACK TO BACK! Three nights in a row I celebrated this title! Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I think you're a little off base with this one. 1) Miami had the best offensive efficiency rating this season. 2) We were 7th in defensive efficiency. 3) We started the season very slow and still won 66 games. 4) Won 27 in a row. 5) Wade played with messed up knees almost all season, at the very least the end of the season plus playoffs. 6) Bosh isn't a "Superstar" that wins a playoff series or gets you 50 wins single handed. He's a "great" player who does a lot for your team and is capable of carrying the load offensively if needed. This is IMO not fact so don't jump on me. 7) We just beat one of the best coached teams in the NBA finals and possibly the only team that executes on par or near it to us. 8) We just won back to back titles. 9) We lost a title sure but it was their first year together and you could see things weren't meshing yet. 10) What do you want us to do go undefeated?
Need a couple more peices, Shumpert a year better and healthier will be huge. If we coykd get 75 games out of Amare that would go a long way aswell. Pacers and Bulls will also be improved also...so NY needs to do what it takes to elevate their talent. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Nothing would be more satisfying than beating you guys in the ECF and nothing more devastating than losing to you, so that is the series I want to see. We will beat the Bulls you just beat the Pacers for us. I'm sick of playing them
