Michael Jordan missed a fast break dunk before. It happens. I don't think Smith is great but I don't think he's as bad as you make him out to be. He's an average player who on occasion can get hot and burn you for 30.

Also, you tend to exaggerate a lot. It's like everyday you come out and say so and so sucks, he's the worst player or coach in the sport, he blows.

What have the Knicks consistently won? Also we all know the Patriots had NO FANS until they started winning. It's not like they had fans, lost them and gained them back. They literally had almost no fans. No real issues with Yankee fans and I dont watch hockey.

Nothing is more unbearable then Philly fans of any sport. Literally stubborn beyond being worth arguing with.
Instead you have Lou Williams who is...wait for it...nearly the same player except 3 inches shorter.

Hes a LAL fan. He was referring to the Lakers not the Knicks.

I agree about Philly fans. Pretty unbearable themselves. I'm not from there however.

Not even close is Lou Williams the same player. And I hate Lou Williams. There offensive games are nothing alike. Lou Williams has actually been a pretty good defender for us this year. J.R. Smith might be the worst defender in the entire league. J.R. Smith is also a whiny *****, a thug. They're both chucks, the comparison stops there. And even then, Lou Williams has a 53.5 TS%, JR Smith 46.4 TS%. That overrated Carmelo guy? 50.1% It sure was fun watching him obliterate the Knicks though.

Time to start giving blame where blame is due.

A total of 26 36 win lose record for Carmelo Anthony since he came in new york.

It's a losing record for a "should be" franchise player who signed $65 million dollar ( earned $18,520,000 in 2010-2011 Season ) and came in New York Knicks sacrificing these players:

    Wilson Chandler

    Danillo Gallinari

    Raymond Felton

    Timofey Mozgov

and giving their 2014 first round draft pick.

2010-2011 season Playing for the Knicks

    Games Played reg season 27. W 14 L 13

Minutes = 36.2 Points Per Game = 26.3 Field Goal Attempt per game = 20

    FG% = 46% 3point % = 42%

    FT% = 87% REB 6.7 ASSIST = 3 TO= 2.4

    Playoff W 0 L 4

    Ave. min = 39 Points per Game = 26

    FG% = 37% 3Point% = 34%

    REB 10 assists 4.8 TO =3

    Reg Season 2011 - 2012 W 12 L 19 39%

    Points Per Game = 21.3 Minutes = 34.3

    FG% = 40% 3Pt % = 30% REB 5.7 ASSIST =3.8

    STL = 1 TO=2.8.

The Fact is losing record with Knicks when he plays since he came 26 36.

Not great, not good, its bad, for a Player who the Knicks waited and sacrifice promising players surrounding Amare before Anthony came.

Amare and the Knicks doing pretty well before he came.

He fck up everything also this season, Knicks without Carmelo Anthony this season they are 6 4.

    With him 12 19.

So if he didn't fck up the Linsanity then he didn't fck up Amare and the gang too lasts season.

Then What did he do to make the Knicks better??!

Can't see any. Oh its a Process.....

He already played 62 games for the Knicks all in all.

As a result, Knicks winning 41% with him.

    Knicks winning 34 27 WITHOUT HIM 55%

    So what now.

How much time will the Knicks willing to take in order to see things clearly and what to do.

With those % above, Carmelo Anthony is not a super star that can carry a team right.
New York Knicks when Carmelo Anthony plays last season and this season combined they got 41%.

New York Knicks when Carmelo Anthony not playing since last season and this season combined they got 55%

    Its way too far.

You got Amare without him they win,You got Lin without him they win,WTF this guy is all about then,Can't they teach this guy to be effective, make him a 6th man or whatever he can do that can benefited the whole team in a big way.

You bring up their record with Carmelo but you failed to directly attribute that record where it belongs on the shoulders of James Dolan. He was the one who after all gave up all those players for Anthony when Donnie Walsh was going to make him wait it out and come as a FA. So for much of last season and this you had no depth to speak of which has directly impacted your record. Plus by doing that, Dolan took us out of the CP3 sweepstakes before we could ever really be players because the assets we had, he idiotically moved like a schmuck when the Knicks could have gotten Anthony for nothing in the offseason. You cant throw that record at Anthony when Anthony rejected inquiry after inquiry from other teams. It was apparent it was either NYK or NJN and to be honest I think the NJN were just playing with the Knicks all along knowing that a day after the Anthony trade they would be able to swoop in and get Deron Williams.

Also if you look at what the Knicks gave up compared to what the Nets gave up....what gives? The Nets gave up TWO top 5 picks in Favors and Kanter for Deron and whats their record? Two idiot owners playing follow the leader and not letting their GM's do the job.

I didnt say it as a personal thing..but yes Philly fans are the worst. Ive been in Philly for Mets games and Knick games and they just want to fight you for no reason. I once went to a NYG/Eagles game there with a Eli jersey on. I wore a rain slicker and brought an umbrella on a 55 degree sunny day. The umbrella was soaked in beer and covered in all sorts of gook and the ushers there do nothing....I should have just put a funnel in there somehow.

As for Carmelo, i direct you to the bill simmons article above.

Right but you cant blame Melo without blaming Dolan when hes the idiot who sacrificed half the team to get Melo consequently leaving melo (and STAT and even the idiot coach) shorthanded.

-Mike wants Carmelo to be a jump shooter.
-Mike doesn’t call plays which would benefit Carmelo. Hes trying to run an uptempo system when two of his three best players are halfcourt players (Melo and Chandler)
    -Nobody other than Fields cuts
-Players don’t set screens for each other
    - Terrible job piecing together the roster. You have duplicate players all over the roster. STAT and Chandler for example are pick and roll players who finish around the basket. Ask either to be a jump-shooter and they cant do it. This causes the paint to be cluttered and you get more big guys defending around the hoop. This has particularly hurt Anthony.
    - No jump shooters. Like I said duplicate pieces all over the roster…JR Smith and Fields…both very inconsistent shooters. Fields is actually downright awful as hes like 24% last I read on spot up jumpers. Baron and Lin would be another example as neither seems particularly comfortable in a halfcourt game….which leads to my next point.
    - No halfcourt PG. Both Lin and Davis are best in an up-tempo game. Neither has shown an affinity to be effective in the halfcourt style. Lin cant go left; every time he does he comes back right. Lin gets stripped a ton as well. Baron cant shoot so teams leave him to double.
    - Spacing is awful. The Knicks are running an offense that asks a PG to be a distributor and for 3 jump-shooters with a big in the middle. The Knicks dont have the shooters to do this. MDA was supposed to be an offensive genius but is proving what a clueless turd he is by playing this way. Basketball is a players game, the coaches have to adapt and get them in position to do what they do best. MDA is showing no adaptability

I understand the frustration with Carmelo, but to solely blame his wrong, imo. However, you have to look at the result with Carmelo here. Is it in the best interest of the team to trade him?

You can't solely blame him, but you can give him a lot of the blame, which he deserves. And yes, he should be traded. The return won't be nearly as good as what they gave up, but who cares. Carmelo isn't a fit in New York. He's not a player you can win with on any team really.

Knicks are currently the #9 seed. If the playoffs started today, the Knicks would play the 1985 Celtics.

If the Knicks failed to make the playoffs, would that be the most embarrassing non-playoff team ever? Would certainly be fitting for a fanbase that tried to shove Amare in our face. Then shoved Carmelo in our face. Then shoved Tyson Chandler in our face. Then shoved Jeremy Lin in our face.

also just to be fair, when you gave up all those players for Carmelo and Billups you gained the cap space for Chandler as well. Ask yourself what you would rather have Carmelo and Chandler or Gallo (who I love but has been even more injured then Melo), Felton (whose sucked this year), Chandler (who hasnt played for Denver), and Mozgov (who is tall but not really good)?

The problem is coaching and the way the roster is assembled. Thats ok though because the D'Antoni era is soon coming to an end. That will solve part of the problem

Word today is that Melo hates D'Antoni....

    more drama.

I got some info as well.

Source: Bulls have offered a deal that includes Taj Gibson for Tyreke Evans. Omer Asik was NOT included in the deal. (Bulls are on crack.) If they include Asik..it is a decent trade for both.

Yea the Melo/D'Antoni thing was reported a few days ago and something I kind of figured just watching the body language of this team. They arent playing for MDA. Theyre going through the motions.

The Evans deal you mention is exactly what Chicago needs but theyre going to have to give more then Taj Gibson to make that happen. Sacto needs wing players a legit SF type more then bigs though Gibson is certainly nothing to sneeze at. Something like Gibson, the Charlotte 1st that Chicago owns in 2014, and Asik might make some sense but I think Sacto is going to have to be impressed to deal tyreke

Warriors traded Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh, Kwame Brown and a pick for Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson.

Wow. The Warriors make the Dolphins look amazing at trades. Between Bogut's and Steph Curry's ankles, they may have two healthy sticks between them.

I sort of think that Monta should have netted the Warriors more.

Kwame was actually okay for the Warriors up until he got injured. Plus, he was an expiring contract if I am not mistaken, so he was a good trade chip.

Even injured and not playing, he was better than Biedrins. Biedrins is God awful.

The Bucks play the Warriors on Friday too. Ellis is going to go OFF.

Sounds about right. Ellis doesn't have that much trade value. He's a chucker who plays absolutely no defense whatsoever. I honestly have no idea why the hell the Bucks thought this was a good idea. Brandon Jennings and Monta in the same backcourt? That's worse than Curry and Ellis...

    14/17 33 points, 15 rebounds.

Double OT game between Lakers-Grizzlies. Fun game. These teams are very evenly matched right now, and it shows.

Make that 15/18 and 35 points.

Screw it, make the Magic take Pau for Howard at this point. LOL. Bynum may be playing himself into staying in L.A.
