Can't wait to see Irving with real scores around him. I think he's being forced to be a scorer when he'd be better served distributing the ball and scoring when the defense gives him openings. Plus he is so out of shape.

Cavs need to start losing so they have a chance to acquire another top talent.

Am I crazy to think the Lakers shouldn't go after DH12? Bynum has developed a fairly impressive offensive game. I love what Dwight Howard brings and his the superior player, but Bynum strikes me as a guy you can trust down the stretch of a game to go down and get you points. Howard has yet to show me much of an offensive game outside of his power and athleticism.

The Lakers need to rely more on Pau and Bynm - both can dominate games.

    This x10....

I laid big bets on Denver and the Under tonight, this team sucks for a lot of reasons. I'm not letting Melo off the hook though, he is a lackadaisical lazy mother trucker. He has a reason to be up for tonight's game though so he will prolly drop 35.

Darko always had the talent, but the motivation/work ethic is lacking. I met the guy, spoke to him, I can tell you that he is lazy as a basketball player can get.

He had his moments last year but yeah he really does lack motivation. Last night he looked like a completely different player. Hopefully he keeps it up but I doubt it. Before last night Darko hardly tries to go after boards and attempt to dunk/block shots. Good to see he got up to play on national TV. Curious where did you speak to Darko that's pretty cool. Did he say anything interesting?

Man I don't want to expect anything, but it would be huge for Miami if Eddie Curry could play to his potential. He looks like a completely different man than he used to, about half of the man he used to for me to be exact. It would be huge if he could contribute for Miami. He has the talent.

I met him in Orlando when he used to come down to hang out out a Balkan cafe. Pretty quiet guy that often seems disinterested. Talked to him about how life as an NBA player was and he said it was rather boring. Money is great, but he didn't do much outside of practice and games. He often slept before and after practices -- something I'm sure he still does. He's got a kid now so he is often playing with him as well as spending lavishly. Guy is so lazy though; he pays this random *** lady 20k a month to clean his house.

Sounds like he doesn't love the game like certain players do. If he had that desire he could be a helluva basketball player. Thanks for sharing.

He initially didn't even want to come to the US. Once he was drafted, his plan was to stack up on money and then go back to Serbia. He really started to think this (read: he was going to do this) after he got his contract with the Grizzlies, which paid him like 7M a year I believe. He was going to finish out that contract and then go back. Once he signed with Minnesota, he decided to stay here for the long-term, especially now since he's got a kid or two (don't recall).

Heat have nothing to worry about. No way we're winning this game, or very many hereafter missing our top 2 centers.

Center is the one position we can't afford injuries at all and here we have 2. I'm not even sure I can watch a Sixers game without them. Tony Battie is absolute garbage, and the rest of the center minutes goes to an old, 6'8" Elton Brand. Ugh. Hawes and Vucevic are so vital to the offense with their shooting and passing, and the defense/rebounding with their length, and ability to move very well for 7 footers. Thank god we play Washington, New Jersey, Charlotte, and Detroit our next 4 games. Should give us time to get healthy, because we play a brutal schedule at the beginning of February. Going to need the Knicks and Celtics to lose all the games they can...

No ****, I'm sick of Jamison's trash that he tries to pass as defense.

The whole team has played like it's ****ing preseason the last 2 games, while the other teams are acting like it's the playoff by comparison.

Because James Dolan sucks at life and owning a basketball team! He is the reason Donnie Walsh resigned. Walsh was prepared to call Melo's bluff about wanting his money now and sign Melo as a FA. Dolan steps in and meets with Kreonke in Denver and says he wants it done now and the only way Denver was doing it in season was if they got under the cap to save luxury tax money. So it took the Knicks moving some of their more valuable assets including both Gallo and Chandler. Dolan has owned the Knicks for 10 years and still 0 playoff wins. If it wasnt so ingrained in me I might consider switching teams but alas that can never happen.

    On a different note:
-7 straight games the knicks have been held under 100 in regulation. Knick fan or not, raise your hand if you ever thought scoring of all things would be a problem for the Knicks. Yeah, me neither.
-0 shots attempted by Amare in the 4th Quarter and 1st OT...why is he in the game again if he isnt going to score?
-This team needs a PG because the only player who can play isolation basketball is Anthony. Yet the coach is deferring to that style to suite his star play and its hurting the rest of the team. Douglas, STAT and Chandler all play best in a PnR style but you cant run PnR's all game with no PG.
-Decent game by Fields and Shumpert tonight. Fields especially has to stay aggressive.

Heat did some work on the Sixers tonight, without Wade......

the game was not even close...but remember that it was a second of a B2B for philly.

But I will tell you...Philly is in a precarious position, where they have a VERY good thing going, and can be the challenger to the Heat for the Eastern crown for years to come, provided that they make the right decisions.

I love the way that team plays.

Tip of the cap to Philly. They are just as good or better than last year. Much respect. No matter the final score. They are at least worthy. They make the Heat work.

Now..the Knicks.....I will say it..I was wrong. Melo is crap.

We see you three more times this year for whatever reason. We should win one or 2 of those if we have Hawes and/or Vucevic. I don't even think we're capable of beating the Wizards next game if those 2 are out. Our offense runs through our centers. Not to mention Javale would have a field day rebounding over Battie and Brand...

I'm going to get **** on for this, and I'm not sure if I mean it. Miami is better of without D-Wade. The spacing on the floor is just better. I can only imagine how good we would be if we had a PG the caliber that D-Wade is as a SG.
