Awful display by England, especially after being ahead after 4 minutes. Typical England performance at a big competition. USA have been the better side and fully deserve to be leveled at the half.

The US are starting to believe they can win this and I expect the US to really take it to England now. And hopefully it ends in a US win.

 

It looks like the ball just dribbled off Green's gloves. How slippery is that field? I have used those kinds of gloves before and the ball just sticks to them.

The English goalie totally Bill Buckner'd that shot on goal... if they lose, he and his family will be arriving on Ellis island within a few weeks.

 

man I still remember that, I still feel bad for that guy when I think about it.

 

On the Green goal, he failed to get his hands under neath the ball and it then slid off his hands.

Awful goalkeeping at this level, but I feel bad for him

 

I wonder if the US will keep attacking like they've been doing, or try and get ball control and play more on Defense to try and hold this tie. I'm sure they might try to score again for comfort, since England is definitely capable of putting up 3 goals.

I'd be very satisfied with a draw, because if they can't beat Algeria and Slovenia then they don't deserve to move on anyway. I feel kinda bad for the England goalkeeper, I'm kinda hoping it ends in a draw haha, if the US wins he's going to take the blame and that's not totally fair. you'd expect England to score 2 or more goals against the USA, so if they don't get another goal they should take more blame than the goalie IMO.
