Just a horrific call. There really is no excuse for these officials. In the Word Cup! What an absolute joke.
US is flopping to often right now, it is clear we won't get any close calls so they should put that tactic up for now.
That looked like a good goal, if the US don't advance cause of this I will NEVER watch another World Cup game in my life and I enjoy these games too.
starting to get more pressure on the algerians near their goal. it seems we have just have to ride out the first 30 minutes every game before we start to turn it on
In his defense, he did have about 3 guys blocking the net/goalplace. He probably could have faked them out or lofted it over them; tried too hard. Dang.
Half time and England are FINALLY playing! They're moving the ball, plenty of chances, a great goal. 45 minutes more please.
nawww man that was on him. Barring donovan putting his foot right with his, its on altidore to knock that in.
Great goal by Defoe after a perfect cross from Milner who had started the game a little shaky. Several opps to go up two hope that doesnt come back to bite us. Pitch looks aweful. Like to see eng score another early on in the second and then USA gets one. Hey its my birthday today i can have what i want damnit!
I'm sorry, what? Where did I condone it? It has nothing to do with alcohol or hooliganism, it's to do with a level of fandom that's rooted in the place you live and were born and the working classes that you my friend would never understand.
You're probably right, Boom. I don't see myself throwing piss/flares at Ryan Howard any time soon. I also can't understand the point of soccer/hockey riots.
Is that the same James Milner who set up the first goal and almost provided the second with tremendous crosses. Just so we're sure.
If we lose this ****ing game to yet another blown ref cal I might start a poll on what sport is more fixed, Figure Skating or Soccer. What a joke this sport is becoming.
He did do a good job on the goal and I credited him. But, still, the other two were awful and he's done that before.
Whoa, calm down. He was offside by about a foot but offside nonetheless. It was a tough call to stomach but it was the right one. However, the inexplicable one made Monday there's not excuse for.
It may not be fixed boom... but its hard not to feel there is some bias against the US with these calls. Its really out of hand...
damn gonna have to root for slovenia to pull off a miracle win here unless the US can score a goal. Sorry Boom. I'm rooting against ya until we have a lead in this game
It's not fixed. But, it's corrupt with prejudicial bias within the officials ranks. When you get to the bottom line ... there's no difference. It reflects the lack of moral standards & sportsmanship that surround the sport itself.
Sorry Boomer, but this is just not this year either, this is going back to 2006 with a red card that never existed against Italy and in 2002 with the hand ball goal that was allowed for Germany. THAT and the fact I don't trust the FIFA at all, I am probably wrong but considering how there is such an anti-American feeling the past decade it just seems to much.
Oakland, Boston, New York, Philly, etc. I'm not sure how one measures fandom but I'm pretty sure these places all have fandom ingrained since birth, so you are wrong to say we wouldn't understand.
