I'm a Heat fan HD... I like the Magic living in Orlando for 7 years, and will root for them when the Heat are out of it. But my loyalties are in red and black...
Anyone got Youtube links to those techs? Asking seriously because I don't remember how they played out. Perkins first tech was a joke, too, though. He was clearly trying to help Pierce up, and his hand slipped back and Gortat was all over him so he got hit.
Holy ****, bro... I always thought you were a Magic fan who rooted for the Heat as well. Much like the way I just found out that I'm really a Celtics fan who simply roots for the Heat.
I don't know if they'll win or not, but you can bet that the Jungle will be a friggen madhouse on Friday night and the Magic won't be getting any calls in their favor. Goodluck with that.
Orlando is a very good basketball team and they're well coached. I just don't think they have the closer necessary to finish off a team like the Lakers if the two teams were to meet, thus the reason why I really don't want to see that matchup again in the Finals. Boston on the other hand, well, their old age is CLEARLY showing. They could have very well put this series to bed at the end of Game 4, but you can tell Pierce (the guy relied upon down the stretch in that game) was winded and his legs were completely shot. Every attempt he took late in that game fell short and he barely had any lift in his shooting formation. That's not an excuse, it's just the reality of the situation... they're an older team and it's showing. I don't even know if K.G. has it left in him to finish this series playing every other night. He looks like a guy who needs a week of rest, but he will get a summer of rest if he doesn't have it in him to put forth one more defining effort on both ends. For Orlando, though, to me it comes down to whether or not they'll be able to shoot like that again in Game 6... because Pierce and Ray Allen are not going to combine for 6/19 shooting again and one has to expect a better overall game from Rondo. I'm sure Boston will be more than fired up for this game. I'm sure Perkins and KG will be.
Like I said before, it's going to be a tough one up there. Cooler heads will prevail. Indeed good luck. Let's go Magic!
Agreed about the first tech... but you can understand how the ref might have seen that. Perkins elbowed Gortat in the stomach, but it was b/c his hand slipped helping up Pierce. But if all the ref saw was the elbow to the stomach, I can understand why the call was made.
No sir. This has been my standard sig, when not having one of my boy Marshall (UCF!)... I love me some Wade...
But see, I've had these questions about Boston all year (like most probably did). They seemed to be answered during that 6 game stretch... but the same questions are popping back up again. I mean, I expected us to beat them in Rd1. And now, they are looking like they did during the regular season... old, tired, and broken down. And the fact that there is only a 1 day rest between the rest of the games in this series isnt going to help that IMO...
You know, it's your old Dwight Howard Dunk Contest avatar that got me... but I should have known better, being that I've had Brandon Jennings (non Heat) in my sig several times since he was playing high school ball.
This is true. If you look at their playoff schedule, they've had some nice spacing at some point in the first two series in which they dominated. After the first two games in Orlando which they were able to pull off, they had 2-3 days rest before their best showing of the series which was Game 3. Coincidence? I don't know. They're going to have to hold up and get it together and pull one more out. Luckily for them, they're at home in Game 6... the younger guys like Rondo and Perkins will have to really step it up, and Ray Allen needs to go off. If the game is close, PP is going to have to pace himself to where he's got SOMETHING left in the closing moments of the game. I just really don't see Orlando shooting like that again on Friday... and I also don't see PP/Ray playing so poorly.
They should review and reverse both T's Perkins needs to watch it because he IS a major crybaby out there, though. He complains for every little call. I'm sure that irritated the refs, but it's their job to be professional and not let it get to them.
I have a feeling that no matter what, Orlando won't get the credit they deserve if they reach the NBA finals because of game 5. Also, Lewis isn't a joke. Overpaid? Yes. But not a joke. It's one bad series.
If the Magic actually get to the Finals, there's no way they don't get any credit, and anyone who would refuse to give them some b/c of one game with a few bad calls would be a joke and would rightfully be labeled a "hater". Winning 4 straight after being down 0-3 is practically impossible. I don't care what the refs are doing, it would be insanely impressive.
BTW, as far as thr refs went for game 5... minus the Hack-a-Howard FTs, the Celtics actually shot more FTs than the Magic did last night.
Let me throw my two cents in. The Magic did get alot of calls in their favor last night no doubt. BS tech on Perkins for sure. But you can be damn sure the calls will go the other way Friday night and the Magic will have to play a near flawless game to pull a win out of there imo. If they do the series is theirs. I did enjoy seeing Fat Baby take a nap after Howard rocked him to sleep.
Did you guys hear what Big Baby said last night when the trainers were tending to him? After Davis got knocked the **** out by Howard... the trainers asked him what his name was... and Davis responded "Cornbread Maxwell". Dude was ****ed up! LOL!
That is hillarious. Hmm...TMZ should do a warrant check for "cornbread maxwell".... Somewhere in the US there may be some pink paperwork awaiting Mr Maxwell..

He shot fire balls out of his *** and pissed champagne. He single handedley dragged the Suns from 12 down to a tie game. His passing was insane and he made some shots over defenders that I am still not sure how he made them.
and the left handed no look between kobe's legs to a cutting Amare for a layup.... The guy was on shrooms last night. THAT is what the ZONE looks like.
