NT Jason Ferguson - bring back for cheap, make solia earn the job
CB Nathan Jones - MUST and should be the #1 priority
QB Chad Pennington - should let go, going to cost money when we have 2 other 'QBs' already and give Chad a chance elsewhere
OLB Jason Taylor - bring back for cheap if he wants to be, let Porter go.

    Restricted Free Agents

TE Anthony Fasano - would like to upgrade him this off season. not as big of a fan as some are of him
OLB Quentin Moses - quality depth guy, may want to go else where

    Exclusive-Rights Free Agents

WR Davone Bess - must keep
K Dan Carpenter - must keep
TE Joey Haynos - should try and bring back, but not a big deal

Exclusive Rights Free Agents — Players with expiring contracts with zero to two years of NFL service. Old teams have the option of tendering a one-year contract offers to such a player, and the player must re-sign with their team or not play in the NFL.

The only way we dont get bess back is if we choose not to tender him an offer. Since he is an ERFA, theres a 99.9% chance he is coming back.

Other than Nathan Jones, there are really no must-resign UFAs IMO. We need a NT, but I think we need to go younger.

    1) NT- Jason Ferguson- hope he returns, need two quality NT's to run the 3/4. however, he might not return after suffering an injury this year & if he does, 2010 will probably be his last in the NFL. he has publicly stated he does not want to play injured or beyond his peak & is looking forward to retirement. this presents a real dilemma for the FrontOffice. usually takes two years to train a NT. we need to find another starting quality NT to bring into the rotation asap.

    2) CB Nathan Jones- a keeper

    3) QB- Chad Pennington- should do what is necessary to facilitate his return as a Coaching-QB. maybe this is the reason why the TriFecta has not proclaimed Henne the starter for 2010, Pennington will probably require a shot @ the start to agree to terms
    4) OLB- Jason Taylor- a no-brainer, JT has tread left & would allow us to trade Porter. need to give him a competitive contract.

    5) TE- Anthony Fasano- is the only functioning TE we have. would take a real chance in undoing him @ this juncture

    6) OLB Quentin Moses- a definite keeper, Wake & Moses are the future

    7) WR- Davone Bess- re-signs

    8) K- Dan Carpenter- re-signs

    9) TE- Joey Haynos- maybe, maybe not. depends on what else comes available potentially in the draft or free-agency. we need to find a dependable RedZone target, Fasano can block. Haynos may be the odd man out depending on who might come available
