Something I didn't get into in the column that really fascinates me is the Dolphins' new training regimen that Bill Parcells brought to the team. One of the first things Parcells was surprised with and knew he had to change when he became Lord Dolphin was the number of injuries the team suffered last year.

There were a ton, and for a team with limited depth, they were fatal. No exaggeration. The injuries killed the Dolphins season.

Im not sure what conditioning has to do with injuries, most of them are just freak stuff that isnt really preventable, but at the least we wont be gassed by the second quarter like we were last year.

    It certainly wont hurt anything.

The thinking is that if you're in better condition, you're less likely to get hurt. To an extent, it's true.

Conditioning and strength help with injuries that's for sure.

Is Mando singlehandedly keeping this JT/Parcells thing alive? I think so. He must have teed off someone real bad at the Herald.

Finally our home field will be an advantage again. We are victims of our own heat. That all ends now!! And is the primary reason I believe we will win no less than 7 games this season.

Pretty good chance that a big percentage of the players on IR last season wouldn't have been there if there would have been a decent conditioning program!

I wouldn't be afraid to bet teams that go deep into the playoffs have a rigorous conditioning program in place..

Come on folks; Think before you post. If your comment is sarcastic or otherwise adds nothing, keep it to yourself. :hi5:

No brother :) Fun is one thing but sniping is another.

I deleted the posts I was talking about and the replies that quoted them. I mean no offense to any of you but this kind of posts and replies generate complaints. We have to realize that were are coming off of a few hard seasons and we have a new infrastructure that not everyone appreciates.

This is a slow time for all Dolphans so minds wander and we are all charged up and ready to see what this season will bring.
