Really guys? I am all about being optimistic and believing but come on man saying that a ROOKIE QB (who many believe should sit his first season) is going to WIN us a Super Bowl in the next 2 years (I believe he said "write it down") is a ridiculous/dumb statement. I think/hope Tannehill can be our guy and EVENTUALLY take us to the playoffs, but to say that on national t.v, it makes you look like a irrational dumb fan and when other teams fans see that you don't think they bust out laughing because I sure did laugh at that guy. Come on that's a bold statement for any team let alone US who haven't won a playoff game in over 10 years. I understand having hope and everything but you got to be a realist as well.

 

Personally, I was more razzing the guy than criticizing him.

Call me a snob but I refuse to give into the industry's cheap use of high fructose corn syrup.

Just to bring it back *somewhat* to the thread topic, I hope we get to follow at least one of the players out to South Beach once during Hard Knocks.

 

To me, that stuff honestly tastes like I'm drinking chemicals.

It's good beer on game days and either SunDrop or natural brewed root beer if I indulge in a soda; other than that it's water or an occasional coffee every morning. lol.

 

I mostly gave up beer when I cut gluten out of my diet. I actually don;t drink booze that much anymore either except wine... but wine and football don;t sound right together.

There was one quick view of the beach in episode 1, with a topless girl, but she was laying on her stomach.

 

The thing that gets me, is just google it and read all the negative side effect reports about it. Where there's smoke there's fire in this case. Diet ice tea is usually sweetened with sucralose and I cannot find much if anything negative about it, so why don't they just use it in place of aspartame in all applications? Only guess I can have is it's not as cheap.

 

I'd like to be that sand for a day.

 

From what I understand sucralose sucks too, but not as deadly as aspartame.

 

I'm sure it's not so good for us, but for some reason a google search did not yield a string of links talking about as being a step up from rat poison, which is how aspartame is viewed by many.

I think the people who jumped on my comment are over analyzing it. I said he made me laugh, not that I'm pissed off at him and he has no right to be happy.

When Ireland talks about a player and we don't agree we discuss it and jump all over him. People still diss Cam Cameron over the Ginn family comment. Why? Because while having an optimistic view point is great it should be grounded in reality. Why not "This kid is going to win us a Superbowl"? It's the two years thing that bothered me a bit and made me kind of chuckle.

I'm GLAD the dude believes in this team. I do too and not enough people feel that way anymore. All I'm saying is that maybe on national TV we should watch the way we present ourselves to others.

 

There has actually never been a study linking aspartame to any sort of health problems in humans. In rats, the only side effect is kidney problems that can lead to death (it may be another organ, but I believe it's the kidney). Sounds like a bad thing right? Hold on. The kidney (or other organ, again I forget which but believe it is kidney) in rats is the only organ that is vastly different from its counterpart in humans. It is thought to be 100% safe to the human kidney, which in turn would make it 100% safe in humans period.

 

Brain tumors in rats for aspartame...mercury in HFCS, so I guess I drink to forget (is this an intervention?).

I respect your post, but I'd maybe suggest doing a little more research into it. You'd be amazed at what you find. Check out the conspiracy behind its FDA approval after nearly a decade of rejection.

Aspartame has significant neurological side affects besides the damage it does to your digestive system. And that's just the start.

I dont really care about health honestly, because my life kind of sucks and I have no intention of living it long/forever. Not to say I go around wanting to die, but when it happens it happens.

However I do KNOW a lot about health and take decent care of myself regardless. The fact is that there has never been an actual study with conclusive results showing that it is dangerous in the amounts it should be consumed (about the same amount sugar SHOULD be consumed). That isn't my opinion, it's a fact. I dont even care about the topic, I'm just providing facts. It isnt about believing me or someone else, it's about looking at an actual body of evidence and not the opinions of linear minded people.

Whatever that guy has to say, extensive FDA study sure doesn't agree huh?
