QB Brian Griese WR Eddie Royal WR DeSean Jackson WR Patrick Crayton RB Le'Ron McClain RB Steve Slaton TE Tony Scheffler W/R Michael Pittman BN Peyton Manning BN Wes Welker BN Ricky Williams BN Marvin Harrison BN Kellen Winslow BN Justin Fargas BN Ted Ginn Jr. BN Jon Kitna K Nate Kaeding DEF New York
Tell me you dont have Welker benched for Patrick Crayton? I think you could of got a lot more for Winslow. Probably could of shopped Sheffler and a low level RB for an upgrade. Or sell Deshaun or Royal while they were hot.
Ya but Braylon sucks so far so they'll prob depend more on Winslow. If Quinn gets a start then Winslow's value skyrockets IMO because he would be a huge security blanket for him. O aright, I was concerned he'd been sitting there.
you really think Winslow has more value? my thinking was maybe the Jets start running the ball to take pressure of Favre.
Yea, I woulda hung onto Winslow for a few more weeks just to see what happens with the QB situation. I think it was a win/win there bc either way his numbers improve. Either Anderson gets it together and Winslows numbers reflect that. or Anderson blows, Quinn comes in, and will most likely rely on short yardage plays which would give Winslow a lot of targets. I would of tried to deal someone else. I just don't see Jones as having that much value. He does have a few nice matchups in the not so distant future, but I still think Winslow would help you more.
Still not active I dont think. When he is he'll prob be splitting with Morris, Faulk and Jordan. Stay far, far away.
I think that was a decent trade. You send out a sub-par backup QB for a backup RB. You gotta believe that Cleveland will turn it around sometime so not a bad deal.
Na, I think this is much better then your other one. Kitna is banged up and may not have a job much longer. Lewis is still a starting RB and could have a bigger role if they throw Quinn in there. Much better.
He's still got a hefty contract so they'll still play him a hefty amount of plays. And a veteran RB goes a long way to helping a rookie like Quinn.
so i just got offered a trade(the guy knows I'm a Phin fan) I'd be giving up Gore and Meachem And getting Reggie Wayne, Ronnie, and Edge My current RBs are: Lynch, Gore, MJD, Chris Johnson My current WRs are: Marshall, Calvin, Holt, Meachem, and Colston whenever he gets back. Now i am stacked at both spots so i don't think i should take it. However i like the idea of having Wayne on my team. And really don't want Holt at all. I like Ronnie a lot but im worried he could get hurt again. Plus some of my desire to have him on my team is just because I am a Dolphin fan. And don't really care for Edge(If im going to do this trade im going to try to get his backup QB Jason Campbell instead of Edge). What are your thoughts on this trade?
I would actually start Jackson. I would expect Chambers to get most of Asomugha which I think will give Jackson more targets. Plus I am worried about Big Ben's shoulder and hand and going against a very very good D.
Fair trade I guess. But I'm really high on Gore and I don't quite think Wayne is totally worth that. But since you also have CJ and MJD, I might gamble a bit.
yeah I am really high on Gore as well. But would like to get MJD in my lineup for the next 7 weeks or so based on match up. Also, part of the reason i would like Wayne is for the playoffs.
Need Help! Ryan Grant has been killing me, but I've kept him in the lineup hoping he will eventually breakout...so what would you do this week, choose one: R.Grant vs Bucs (@ Tampa) or C.Perry (@ home) vs. Browns or T.Jones (@ home) vs. Cards Yeah I know it's not pretty, but it is what it is...
I want to say Perry but I gotta be safe and go with Grant or Jones. Grant more likely and you wanna hope he bursts out of his slump ala Ronnie (I know a lotta people missed that train). If Grant can get involved in the passing game, he'll do well. I'd say it's not pretty but I think you know already.
Take Perry. They're 25th in the league in rush defense and Perry is a north-south runner. I think he'll have a big game this week.
For you In_Flames and other Thomas Jones fantasy owners, its going to be very difficult to start him in games. The Jets currently don't have a identity on offense. Jones carries have dropped by week (average of 16 carries per game). They want to get him the ball but they feel like they have to get Cotchery the ball as well as letting Favre do his thing. That's one of the big reasons they're struggling right now and will continue to do so if they don't figure out what they want to do. Schottenheimer is a very good OC but at the moment, he doesn't know what to do.
Kind of where I was leaning tbh. Holmes hasnt gotten many looks from Big Ben so far which is what has me worried. Jackson isnt exactly the #1 option, but he's off to a better start. I'm wondering if the Steelers dont try throwing a bit more since Parker is out though. Any other opinions? Vincent Jackson or Santonio Holmes?
One other question, which RB do you start: Thomas Jones vs Arizona Steve Slaton vs Jacksonville Jamal Lewis vs Cincy I'm not liking Slaton because of the matchup, other two are a toss up.
Slaton did rip Ten for 106, 4rec and a TD tho. If he can do that to Ten then why not Jax? Addai did aright with them last week. I'd sit Jones or Lewis. NY could get behind in that game quickly and have to throw a lot. Lewis should do fine against that Cincy D so I would think about starting him instead.
Slaton had most of his yardage off a huge run and was really bottled up for most of the game. But Jax's D has regressed a bit so I'd still start him. Mendenhall will get a lot of touches. Holmes has been a huge disappointment and I think the slump could continue as long as Big Ben is hurting. Go with Jackson since the Raiders can be beat through the air and he's getting looks while teams focus on Chambers and Gates. Definitely start him against us next week though.
Offensive Coordinator Rob Chudzinski hinted Saturday that the Browns' game plan in Week 4 against the Bengals will revolve around RB Jamal Lewis. "We need to get him the ball and he needs to definitely be a big part of the offense," said Chudzinski. Lewis is a nice-looking play this week against Cincinnati's 28th ranked run defense. Rotoworld.com He's gotten 14 carries a game. We could see that doubled.
Cincy isnt exactly the pillar of defense that Jake Long is Slaton is a nice back, but im not sure how many TDs he will be grabbing. Jones Id sit. Id definately go with Jackson over Holmes. The Ravens will blitz the hell out of Pitt and could see a repeat of that Philly game. Big Ben is a top QB but he needs to learn you cant hold the ball for 10 seconds.
I've heard what you all think about Slaton and I am in the same predicament. I don't know who I should start in my flex ( I have S. Jackson vs. BUF and LJ vs. DEN) Steve Slaton vs. Jacksonville or Edgerrin James vs. NYJ?
