The Jets defense will be under a lot of pressure. That aging, and overrated unit, that is suspect in many areas(safety, pass rushing) will have a rude awakening in store. Watch what Mevis does, with Landry and Yeremiah being the coverage help over the top. I'm not saying he will "suck"...but watch. No wonder he almost held out again, with his contract, teammates, and fanbase stacked against him. He will certainly not be the best corner in the game this year, and won't be able to hold the entire team hostage like he loves to do every other year. Jim Leonhard leaving will hurt them more for this than anything. And all that being said..this falling defense will be complimented by potentially the WORST offense in the modern football era. Is there one aspect of this offense that is even average? Jest fans still actually think they have a shot at the Pats. But like the last game of the season last year when we dominated them, it will be ugly and disappointing. We have 3 QBs passing routinely in the 70%, lighting up training camp. They have Sanchize and Tebow...who measure success by merely converting a snap. Sept 23rd. Can't. Wait.
I heard on ESPN radio today that Cromartie and Keller got into a fight today at TC, and then Rex punished the whole team making them do gassers. Yep, no distractions on that team!!!!
Disagree. I don't think BB would put up with his bull****. He goes to be the DC in Washington. Synder will not pass up the publicity opportunity of pitting the Ryan twins against each other twice a year, plus Shanahan is on the hot seat.
I think if they go 4-12, and I do think they are lacking all around to do so, coaching and player wise, I think he will have a lot of toe sucking to do, to keep that job. Sent from my iPhone
I've encountered a lot of reasonable Jets fans on Twitter that are pretty straight forward about the situation in New York, which can be boiled down to them simply not being very good and the team quickly slipping from Rex Ryan's fingers.
If he and his team had just gone about their business in a professional manner they would be beloved in NYC, but talking trash making promises and worse guarantees they can't deliver on, they are trash right now in this city. And to make matters worse the Giants, a team the Jets love to challenge in the papers, are the Super Bowl champs. This is put up or get out of dodge time for Rex.
Rex puts himself in the hot seat every year with his outlandish predictions and big mouth,he seems to enjoy it but eventually the fans and media will turn on him unless they win the superbowl soon.
Anything is possible, im speaking of propable. I think Buffalo is clearly the 2nd most talented team in the East. So I dont see the Jets being better. Infact the Jets declined last year and I dont see any real reason to think they are going to do anything but continue the downward spiral. Quick prediction? Why not... NE 13-3 BUF 9-7 MIA 8-8 NYJ 4-12
I would remember one thing -- for every takeaway that the Bills defense gets, Ryan Fitzpatrick will give back two in some form.
If we lose to Buffalo twice no one but Dolphins fans will be surprised...they are a better team on paper ofcourse, but the homer in me thinks we split at worst. But back on topic...Jets worst team in East in my book.
Bills wideouts were being carried off the field and got just plain beat the F&*k up last year by our not so great secondary...Splitting with them would be worst case scenario this year. How many foot fetish jokes can be made by mid season if Ryan is on the outs up in NY?
They closed practice for teh top secret WC that only Rex & Tony know the formation & personell. If we off both of them what will the team do?
