I guess I also put up a thread in the Lounge but I hope you will keep my aunt and her family in your prayers. I think I mentioned her earlier in here and I'd like to think it helped since she managed to live longer than the doctors said and she passed away peacefully.

Hey Deb, nawwww haven't been around because I've been busy lately with some research projects & writing a few articles to hopefully be published later this year. One is on the late Byzantine era and the last Emperor of Byzantium. He was quite an amazing guy. Another one is part interview with His Serene Highness Prince Mikhail Romanov (the man who most think would be Czar if there was still a monarchy in Russia). A most interesting fellow, and one who has some harrowing tales to tell. KGB agents tried to kill him more than once. I will go back on the thread and see what I have missed. Its been a long couple of weeks.
By the way all....God's healing powers have made me whole once again. I still am tender to a lot of physical activity, but for the most part am back to whole. Thanks everyone for all the prayers and great thoughts.
I passed!!! Well, after two hours of grilling my colleague and myself, they told us that we passed and are now considered ABD (all but dissertation) or doctoral candidates. Thanks for the love and prayers. Now, all I have to do is start and finish my dissertation which should only take about a year and a half.
Congrats to Raul, great news from PMZQ, and my prayers are with you Deb. I will get caught up with all of this stuff eventually, I am sure!
We had a marvelous time! I stayed away from any computers most all of the trip, only called the office once (to ask the sexton to come over to the house to turn on the heat!), visited my daughter, read, ate great food, visited the seminary, shopped, relaxed, and overall had a relaxing time. I feel renewed! On a related note, my daughter has been approved for ordination and assigned to the Virgina synod for her first call. Her papers have been sent to a congregation in Richmond looking for an associate pastor and to a little town in the panhandle where five congregations share three clergy. Other places are in the wings and the Bishop of NC is waiting to claim her if VA doesn't pan out. She is in great spirits and thus so am I!
Hi guys, I have some prayer requests. 1st please remember my friends in Ohio. Things seem to be getting worse for them there. (I posted in a prayer request thread) I am very scared for them. 2nd. My car is broke again. The alternator is cracked. We put a brace that had broken on it a month ago, now the darn thing is cracked, acting and sounding terrible. We don't have the money to fix it and we need a miracle. I wouldn't even ask, but we live out in the county and I need to have transportation. Thanks guys. Love and God bless, Debby
You have my prayers on both. The Cleveland Clinic is one of the best out there so they've got good doctors by their side. That and some faith are some good partners to have by your side. I'd be thrilled if I could do my residency there.
Debby, you have my prayers for your friends. I will also pray that the Lord can find a way to deliver you a new vehicle. This one seems to always break down on ya. Girl, you just need a new one.
I hope we all can take time to reach out to our fellow Americans, put our differences behind us, and bow our heads together and say a prayer that the Lord will guide and lead our new President in a way that will please Him. This next 4 years will be very trying and he will need all the help he can get. I have great hope that our new President will lead us back to greatness after 8 long and dark years !
I have got to share this with you guys. When I went to pick up my car (couldn't afford to have it fixed) to bring it home and park it. They told me I had a new altinator and all was fixed and paid for by some one. I don't have a clue as to who did it and they wouldn't tell me, but don't tell me God doesn't answer prayer! I feel it may have been some one God used from my church. With all the bad news lately, this was such a joy to me. Thanks for all your prayers. Luv you all.

My beloved brothers and sisters, I ask for your prayers for me and my healing. I was brought by ambulance to the ER here yesterday bleeding like crazy in my stool and vomiting blood. It turned out to be a bleeding ulcer, which actually stopped bleeding on its own (not true, God involved here) per the ER Dr.'s. They just moved me out of ICU into a regular room and I should be going home tomorrow. Unfortunately I was supposed to be at a new job tomorrow morning at 9am for some training, then start Monday. Now I will have to call my new boss Monday and ask if I should come in or not. But I'm still very weak from the loss of all that blood and not sure I will be up to a full day of woork.
