He gone.

"Although we are capable of great acts of kindness, history teaches us that we sometimes need saving from ourselves – from our recklessness or our greed. God sent into the world a unique person – neither a philosopher nor a general, important though they are, but a Saviour, with the power to forgive... It is my prayer that on this Christmas day we might all find room in our lives for the message of the angels and for the love of God through Christ our Lord." (Christmas message, 2011)

This sucks for me personally. He's #3 overall as far as all time favorite Dolphins go. Dan, Ricky, Cameron. I feel like my heart has been ripped out. Seriously....This sucks....I live in Tennessee so at least i'll get to watch him every Sunday, but damn this hurts. Oh well, if we're tanking the season then i'm probably going to be rooting for the Titans just because of him. I keep thinking of Forrest Whitaker in Platoon where he's says..."I don't know brothers, but i'm hurtin real bad inside." I'm very upset about this. More than I was with Landry...Way more! Gonna take me a few days to get over it. I've never in my life felt like jumping ship, but the thought has crossed my mind so far. I think this is going to get extremely ugly before it gets good.

You have Ricky ahead of Thomas or Taylor?

You're in time out, kid.

Cam will be missed for sure. There were a lot of plays where he left my jaw hanging open with how quick he got to the QB but my biggest jaw dropping moment was when he tore his Achilles, threw the TE aside and kept going after Brady. I was seriously impressed with how tough he is. He didn't even flinch or grimace as he lay there on the ground. That has to be a very painful injury and I just couldn't believe how he handled it.

I am a fan and hope he gets a shot at a ring with the Titans.

Bummer. Love what the guy brought to this team. Wish he could get a chance to win the big one though, not sure he'll have that in Tennessee.

I think we all knew it was coming. It's really sad but I'm happy for him at the same time. And you know what? Now I have my 2nd team to root for this year. Go Titans!

Hey, is my new 2nd favorite team any good? LMAO!

I mean its the business side. There isnt really a place for that contract on a rebuilding team. Giving out sentimental contracts that aren't minimums arent a good way to build a team. Plus, it lets him go chase the playoffs.

I'm glad he gets to go somewhere he wants to since he doesnt fit with our rebuild.

At the same time though...once a player is gone I couldnt really care less about them. I appreciate what he did here but it's over and I'm not holding on to it.

What are we going to complain about now that we won't be watching Wake get held every play?

Oh man. This one is tough for me. With my interest in the NFL waning more and more every year, Cameron Wake was the last individual Miami Dolphin player that I cheered for passionately. He might also be the last. I'm not saying I'm not a Dolphin fan anymore, but I just don't care enough about the NFL in general to get too emotionally invested in any of the players.

Thanks for the memories Cam! I'll never forget the walk off safety. I was in a bar in New Orleans wearing a 1960s Adam West Batman costume with about 10 sets of beads on. I ripped them all off when that happened spilling little tiny beads all over the bar floor.

Here's hoping a new Dolphin can come along to rekindle the flame...

I remember it too- Wake has has so many special moments across his career. I'll miss the heck out of the guy.

A great player and a classy human being. I'm sorry most of his career and efforts got wasted here in Miami.

Really glad he didn't sign with the Pats though -I can cheer for the Titans if there is no direct harm to the Dolphins involved.

A terrible play call, terribly executed.
