No one has said it but i know its true, there has been all this discussion as to why the home teams are having such an advantage in the NBA playoffs....You wanna why... Pure laziness and ego all wrapped into one huge wave of lax road play, these higher seeds have the home field advantage so their thought process right now is why expend the energy when we really dont have to, the thought process of these spoiled athletes is, we'll just wait to the last game and settle it there. plain and simple. Its quite weak if you ask me and i cant believe know one has called them out.
NOBODY can convince me that these teams are giving 100 percent on the road..its blatlantly obvious. I cant stand it and nobody in the national media has the balls to call them out.
has some merit but not the main reason, home field preference from the refs has been going on since the dinosaur age. Spoiled rotten athletes.
They may be doing it subconsiously but the unprofessionlism and lack of intensity is there because they know that have that one last game to decide it all
Boston has to be the most pathetic amazingly talented road team (playoffs) I've ever seen in my life.
truly unbelievable, i love kevin garnett but he really is a poser of some sort, overdramatic in his leadership qualities, looks like it doesnt come naturally to him.
I think it has more to do with the simple fact that role players and bench players tend to only play well at home. Its a long known fact that just so happens to be more relavent this yr more then any. Of course KG has to feel like he's playing in Minn again. He's carrying that team on his back right now.
Its not all about it but the refs calling games favoring the home team is the huge reason why home teams are always favored. I find it weird that this is even a discussion. Its always been a huge issue to be at home. The visitors players get into foul trouble putting 2nd stringers on the court, you have favorable free throw advantage, etc. And this is a mystery? Its not a 100% given but when there is parity like there is this year its bound to have a huge impact. Seriously this is very simple to understand. The superstars like Kobe will still get calls and their teams will take some road games but other than that the home court advantage is going to win a bunch of games.
Maybe they are giving 100 percent but the home team is giving 110 percent because they are feeding off the crowd, hence the difference.
The games are not even close guys, the teams are losing by double digits on average which means they are giving up....yall just dont see it, continue to think its about free throws and crowd noise i however see something obvious and different then yall do. Ive said my peace, iam on the record. later
I've watched a ton of these games, I don't see a distinct lack of effort. I don't think you're theory explains it at all. Boston maybe but not the rest.
As a fan of the NBA for the last 400 years..it goes like this. Role Players play better at home. It has always broken down like that...why? you ask? All Role Players no matter their skill level are still NBA athletes and the best basketball players in the world. basketball is a team game and a little encouragement (from the fans) to your weakest pieces can get them to play in the flow with your stars. ON THE ROAD..teams tend to lean on their stars MORE to get them through, and that hurst your flow. if you wanna thank me for schooling you guys on this...just send me your paypal info via PM.
