Although there was another drop, I saw that #19 jersey making three great blocks, catching passes, fighting for the damn ball & winning, opening up the field for the TE, and running FORWARD after catching the ball. I thank the Football Gods, and whoever else may be involved, to allow that number to prosper for our team.
Can we finally put Ted Ginn out of our minds now? He's a 49er, wish him well, don't expect much from him but that as they say is their problem, NOT ours anymore. The #19 jersey will be one of the most beloved on this team by the end of the season.
That was a really pretty catch he made over the defender, and the block on the first Fasano touchdown was probably the best I've seen from a Dolphin receiver in a long time.
the upgrade from Ted to Brandon is one of epic nuclear proportions. Not just catching the ball. Blocking, never giving up on a ball in the air, being the best wideout in the league at making the first tackler miss. That one catch last night from Penny was SICK talent. It's going to be so much fun watching this guy this year.
Ted Ginnfluenza will take about 5 weeks into the season to recover from, the disease tends to linger in those afflicted, but recovery is possible.
Ginn having a Ginn day today. Four things wrong, one thing very right. Drops two catchable balls, runs the wrong route, then breaks vertically as Nate Davis scrambles and heaves a RIDICULOUS Elway-like ball that goes 65-70 yards through the air, Ginn catches it, and goes out of bounds instead of making an effort to dance the sideline and run after the catch.
HAHAHA yeah I was at that game. I cant help but root for the kid even if he isnt on the team, and I was going NUTS on that catch. Talent wise, I still believe we would be better with him on the team, but perhaps we needed to purge his bad voodoo from the team. And hey, at least we got nolan carroll.
It is a good thing that Marshall has team mates and coaches to direct him off the field on punts. The guy has no idea where the sideline is.
