Terry Glenn to Miami?

He's an upgrade over Hagan and Camarillo sure if healthy. But he's aging and gimpy so he'd be at best a #2 but likely a #3 WR. Not someone I'd trust to help out a rookie or young QB but someone who can be a complementary WR to a real #1 WR.

id take him. our recierver corps suck. no faith in hagan at all, cant believe we have to discuss a wr on these boards who can't do the first thing in his job description, catch the f'in ball.

Glenn has to qualify for AARP. lets see what our young guys have before bringing in some senior that has his best games behind him. thats just me, I think youth is the way this team needs to go.

I agree we need to go youth but you need veteran leadership. On our current eighty man roster, we have ten wide receivers. Five are rookies and no one has more than 5 years of experience. We need Terry "she" Glenn to mentor Ginn and other receivers. If he stays healthy (I know big "if"), he could be a valuable to our young guys.

I'm not sure I like what Glenn brings to the table...I would rather let our coaches coach...that should be more than enough for our young guys. in my mind. If we have good coaches, we really don't need Glenn.

He is the perfect mentor for Ginn.

Heck, I'd love to have him on the staff instead of the roster. lol.

I will take him. Se I mean he is better then any one else we have a 3rd wide reciver. Enless we keep John Dunlap he will be the best

Your right, let the coaches coach up our players...on the sidelines and in the film room. You also need a mentor on the field. You want every advantage you can get and if you have a group of young guys especially one that you recently drafted and is compared to this receiver on the market, you want him in here. Show him the ropes and show him how to play the game right. Not too long ago, Glenn was a good player. He may not be as good now as he was then but can still do what is asked.

We may not need Glenn but there no wrong doing in bringing him in and helping out.

i personally don't want glenn here and alot of it probly has to to with him being injured and starting to get up there in age. if we are going to bring in a reciever that is better than hagan/wilford i would rather go make boldin happen..he's younger,healthier and would be a better fit for us. ginn,ab,wilford,ricky(great recieving skills),ronnie(see ricky)..mmhm i would love to see any team put 8-9 in the box with that setup and it will only help beck progress..give this kid some talent in the recieving department. marino had the marks brothers,peyton has r.wayne and m.harrison,bradshaw had some great recievers as did montana,farve,elway..we should do everything we can to allow beck to be a succesful qb and we have already started that by building a line in front of him and a very promising backfeild so why not add talent to the recieving core if we can get away with it.

Good point...I'd rather wait and see who gets released, and pick up a veteran at that point. If i'm not mistaken, Glenn has been pretty injury prone.

You are correct, he has been injury prone. I'd be surprised if we see anybody else signed other than Glenn.

he got released. whats the problem? we'll sign him and it will barely put a dent in our cap.

What I wonder now is that if this will expand the rosters we keep on our roster. We were probably going to keep 4 on the roster. With this, I think it may go to five or six. Bess, Camarillo, Hagan, Wilford, Ginn and Glenn.

The difference here is that Boldin would come with a very hefty price tag (a high draft pick and a relatively high salary).

I agree with sethdaddy; Glenn is a cheap "Parcells" guy. If the price tag is right, bring him in to compete for a spot on the 53-man roster.

Cuts are gonna be here before you know it, and i'm sure there will be some good players to look at. I really question the roster spot Glenn would take more than his lack of talent. the best way for young guys to do that is playing time.

I'd have to be convinced first that some of our young receivers are worth keeping around, and looking good in limited action or OTA's doesn't do that for me.

I'd bring in Glenn, and if our young receivers show themselves capable of possibly being an intricate part of this team in the future, then you can always cut Terry.

Thats true...kinda like when zach took the job from Del Rio...

He is a HUGE if. His knees are in bad shape and that, aside from hands, is the worst injury a Wide Receiver can have.
