B/c the S is deeper on the Ginn side than he is against any of our other WRs. It's not much but it's at least a yard deeper. They showed a couple of angles in the Jet's game and in the NE game and I was able to compare the pre snap alignments. That was only on a couple of plays. Comparing it to the alignments that I saw earlier in the season the S was actually about two or three steps closer in the games when Ginn didn't start than they had been earlier in the year.

And yes, it would be even more effective if he caught some of those, but it's still more effective than the other guys we have.

he didnt need that in college or his first two years as a Dolphin so why would he need that now? Please explain why Ginn started if he's as bad as you make him out to be. the way you describe him its amazing that ohio state even allowed him to play for them

No...YOU explain why he's so good, why he deserves your undying love. :shifty:

I have plenty of games watching him totally suck it up out there to back up my claims.

Since it's you that's in the VAST majority, it's on you to keep coming up with the excuses. I have nothing left to explain, he sucks ***, it's right in front of you and the world to see.

I still hold out rays of hope that with some confidence Ginn might become a legit threat. He'll never be a #1, or most likely even a legit #2 but IF that light comes on, and WHEN they get a real #1 Wr it could be a good pairing...

    :praying:

But the last two games I have suffered a lot watching him..

exactly and until we upgrade to dwarves (is that an upgrade?) we should just hope he has a growth spurt somewhere trapped in his DNA

I'll send you a replacement jersey for that Ginn one you have. All you have to do is post a pic of you wearing it, with a skirt on....and ballet shoes. :hi5:

I understand that the FS stays a little deeper but if a team has a good OLB, one who can tackle, they don't mind taking that chance. That stems a lot from our TE's being invisible for most of the year as well...

    1) Speed
    2) he's learned how to get open
    3) of course the fact that he somehow forgot how to catch is frustrating but since he's done it in the past I see no reason to feel this is a long term problem but rather a short term phenomenom.

It all boils down to whether he regains his hands. if he does he's a 1000 yard receiver. if he doesnt he's NFL (Not For Long)

I do have to say that Henne should be able to adjust how much mustard he needs to use. Most of his passes are just flat out bullets, and it's great that he has a gun, but I've seen few passes that were really close to being very accurate, but very hard to catch.

You got the first one right, he's fast

His routes suck and unless he can run past someone, I'm sorry but he's not open in most cases and the guy has NEVER had good hands. He's made very few tough catches while on this team. VERY FEW......period. You're dreaming.....

he will. not so much this year but i expect alot of improvement next year. this year its about getting the ball to the receiver. next year it will be about getting it to the receiver in the best position for the receiver to do something with it

Oh so that's how it's gonna be?

Because he's not Ginn, any new WR's are gonna belong to us haters? lol

And you're right, us "haters" won't be happy until he's gone.....which is exactly where he's headed.

I'm sure he'll improve and the coaches better make sure of it. He's got all the tools to develop FAST in the NFL.

I think he's actually pretty accurate though. He just throws most of them with the same velocity which is HARD as he can...

You can't expect much improvement until he has some better targets. Sending him out there with Ted Ginn as his go to guy is a crime.

Henne will never be able to throw the ball soft enough for Teddy "Baby's ***'" Ginn.

B/c if the FS doesn't stay deeper it becomes almost 9 in the box. The fact is that if the FS stays deeper then by definition there is more space.

The point is that as bad as Ginn has been nobody else we have can create that same space.

And it's not like I'm defending Ginn b/c I think he's great. I lobbied hard this off season for us to draft a WR in the 1st or to trade for Boldin. I wasn't among the many here who claimed our WRs were fine. I knew we had a deficiency there but until we have another option I'm not going to advocate dumping him out of spite or b/c he annoys me. And I'm sure the coaches feel the same way.

and yet he plays. how does one explain his still being on the team and even starting if he's as bad as you make him out to be. what is sparano's rationale? does sparano have a fear of success?

Yeah, I don't get the dump him talk. I also don't get the accusation that he's never had good hands. He should stay. With a true #1 on the team, I think Ginn would flourish. I think he's putting too much pressure on himself to make plays, and it's ruining his concentration when it comes to catching the ball. He's worrying about what he's gonna do with the ball, who's gonna hit him, and just trying to hard. Get a Boldin or someone in Miami who can be the goto guy, and let Ginn be wildcard, and I think he does much better.

well isnt that the point then? if we have noone to replace him with on our roster then why are there calls for him being cut? are we going to cut off our nose to spite our face? isnt the way you build a championship team by cutting your worst players first? if he's not our worst receiver shouldnt other receivers be cut first. seems to me we shouldnt be considering cutting him until we feel he is our worst receiver or until we decide to bring in 4 new receivers

Who said he's not the worst?......He's on the field and temporarily on this team for one reason, his speed. Other than that he offers next to nothing as a receiver. 7 games and he's outta here.....you can bank on that.

but our decoy is more valuable than three other receivers we carry (lets assume camarillo, the other starter, is better) are you advocating bringing in 4 new receivers next year and dumping Hartline, Turner, Bess and Ginn? Surely you dont want to keep three receivers worse than a decoy?

Ginn won't be cut, he does have value, I do think he might be traded but I'm not 100% on that one.

Ginn's problem is his targets are dwindling so he has to do more with what they are throwing him because a part of me thinks Henning would be just as happy targeting Haynos.

He's not.....in fact Camarillo is worth 2 Ginn's. He actually makes plays.....he's not a little wuss trying to find a safe place in the dirt to hide.

He's the least reliable player we have on offense, period. Which is way he's on his way out...

so what receiver do you replace him with? if his speed alone keeps him on the field ahead of our other three receivers what receiver can replace him that we can get?

You could find any track star on the street to replace him with.......the replacement would need very little skill at WR......you wouldn't even notice the diff.
