He's getting better on his kickoff returns, still sporadic of course, but getting better, he's takin off with more speed..He's starting to get into a nice little rhythm...The coaches did the right thing with him..

hypothetical if ginn helps us sweep the jets for the rest of his career was he worth the 9th overall pick?

If he's doing it on special teams, yeah. Such a demoralizing thing getting scored on a kickoff. Even worse when it happens twice. Just deflates the entire away stadium.

I want the Phins to keep Ginn as a special teamer. He has good returns and it seems like every game gets us to at least the 40. That is a great way to help the offense.

for the record the reason i posted that hypothetical is because i think he can do a good if not great job as a kick returner.

so he doesn't like to get hit. kinda hard to get hit when he's running past you into the endzone..

You know Gapper, you might make me change my mind with this simple, honest, accurate statement

it only takes a few right words :)

ginn has legitimately helped us win ball games and has helped us lose some as well.

that's gonna be any player in this league. the difference being when he does make plays they are spectacular.

triple coverage against the jets and outflies them all?

two kick return TDs for 100 yards a piece?

it seems to be all or nothing.

if it just starts to be more consistent with the "all" and he continues to make spectacular plays would anyone be against him as the 9th overall pick?

Until we get some one "I" couldnt cover as a deep threat then we need to keep him, I would even say throw atleast one deep ball early to him to soften things up.

In retrospect, I wouldn't take him with the 9 in the second round

Poor Teddy, this sort of sums the reactions:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkB1fRDdfGI"]YouTube- Dolphins fans react to the Ted Ginn selection[/ame]

The way I see it, Ginn is a finicky weapon as a kick returner, if the hole is just right, or if he can get to the outside untouched, he can take it to the house.

As a Wr, he is no better than a #3 imho.

    As for memorable plays:

2008...AFCE clinching TD catch vs Jests

2009..2 returns for TDs back to back against the Jest

2008 4th down reception on game winning drive against the Raiders

2009 MNF 50yd TD as he left "Revis Island"

2008 January 4th one of the reasons why Cam Cameron and Randy Mueller were fired imho...value...immeasurable

He's definitely picked up his game in the last few weeks. I didn't see the Buffalo game, but those dropped catches aren't nearly happening as frequently it seems. Either he's getting into Rhythm with Henne, or being benched might have been the kick in the butt he needed to figure out how to get a grab on the ball

ALL things considered, I wouldn't spend the 41st pick on him, no
