This comes out tomorrow for 360, and I will definitely be getting it. It looks great. Anyone not getting this who is a fan of football and videogames, I hope you fall in a sewer.
I picked this up last night. Here's my thoughts: Positives - Same old-school Tecmo action. Essentially a port of the 1993 Super Tecmo Bowl for SNES. - You can actually flip between the 2D (Old School) and 3D (New School) views on the fly with the RB button. It's actually kind of fun. I find that I play better on defense in 2D and on offense in 3D. - There is no NFLPA license, but Tecmo does allow you to customize all of the names on the roster. Negatives - Not much in terms of being able to edit the actual teams or their colors. Kind of sucks that Miami is stuck with like a bright blue for colors. I don't know if there is the ability to take different teams and run a season across XBL yet, though I am in if that is indeed the case. Overall, it's a very fun title and a great way to spend some time and get your Tecmo fix in. I played as the Dolphins last night and racked up 450+ passing yards with Dan and about 10 sacks with Bryan Cox. Highly recommended.
Just bought it. First game... the classic Miami vs Buffalo. It brought me back to my grade school days when I sacked Jim Kelly for a safety... giving me the lead 23-21. Unfortunately with 40 seconds left, I figured I could run the clock. Well I remembered why I never ran the ball back then because the great Mark Higgs fumbled... leading to a Thurman Thomas 50+ yard score... so I lost. 28-23. I hate Thurman Thomas as much as I did back then... it doesn't matter if he's in 2D or 3D. I hate him.
anybody play this? it's out for psn and i'm thinking about getting it. edit: never mind, i guess it's the same game from 1990. i was hoping they would've updated the rosters, or allowed for the download of newer rosters. as it is, i already have the emulator and rom for the old game.
In stitches quote, it said something about waiting for a remake of nba jams. But I remember I downloaded something similair on PSN. Cant remember what the name was.
The teams are basically re-named NFL teams/players. So like Dan Marino is quarterback of the Miami team, but he's named as something different (his number is 13 though).
