They did say he threw poorly today. I went thru the Tebow crap out here, he's a good kid, but he really does suck as a QB.
I was gonna say. He threw poorly today? How is that different than any other day????? If you were able to take the best aspects of Tebow's game, and mix them with the best aspects of Dirty Snatcho's game, and mesh them into one player, you would have one hell of a fullback that still couldn't play QB worth a damn.
I can't believe the microscope both Sanchez and Tebow are under, you want Sanchez to have competition but this will not be productive at all. It's going to be unbearable for him, not so much for Tebow since he has shown he can handle it. But the pressure has to be great for Sanchez to keep his job, this move had to be for selling seats because it makes zero sense otherwise.
People shouldn't hate him, he's a winner and a football player in the truest sense of the word, there is nothing to hate unless you are either intolerant to religion or hate the media attention he gets, in which case you should hate the media and not take it out on him. I found myself rooting for him and becoming a big fan of his during last season as he kept winning against logic and showed class towards those who showed none towards him.
Yep, agreed very much. Would LOVE to meet the kid, hang out and talk..as long as religion didn't come into the conversation as I believe religion is a dish best served..internally....but I also think that T-2 understands and respects that. By all accounts, he is a great great kid, he just honestly is NOT a very good QB. He did indeed find ways to win, often, but I also think that is going to end sooner more than later, and with as much as he runs, the kid is gonna eventually end up getting hurt just as eventually EVERY running back does.
Its nothing personal, I am sure he is a great person, he never asked for the media attention. I just hate the hype around him, I hate that he is hailed as a great QB when he is nothing of the sort. And no he is not a winner in this level, his running game and defense won games for him.
Tebow falls in the same category as Sparano for me. I want to root for them because of the people they are, but when you're on the Jets that all goes out the window and crashes in a bloody mess 20 stories below.
Loved it when Rex said he hopes they are able to run the ball a lot. The Wildcat going to be a failure this year. It worked so well in Miami because it was new, once teams figured it out, we got stopped, ie Baltimore Ravens playoff game
You see, here's the mistake alot of people make. Yes, he DID ask for media attention. There are HUNDREDS of Christians in the NFL. He's the only one that genuflects every time he does something. You don't think he didn't realize the media would be all over that? Please.
No, its ok to hate him if you live in Ocala, FL and you were bludgeoned with his name and likeness every three feet, its also why I hate the Gators....and Spurrier. In fact, I'd go as far as to say the reason so many people like him is only because he's a vocal Christian.
It was fun watching him turn Denvers wasted season into a playoff birth. As was it fun watching him burn Pitts with a beautiful pass for a overtime win even though he cannot pass a football. Now that he's a Jet he has lost my support. But if he makes Sanchez cry I will enjoy that.
