Being number one on the waiver wire, expect us to pick up several very good players cut by other teams. The bottom 6-8 guys on our roster will be changing before the season starts.

I hope we are looking out for Ashton Youboty of the Bills. There was talk of him being on the waivers and we have the first look at him.

I remember ESPN right before that draft, they were doing their mock where two guys take turn giving their mock, and about the bottom third of the 1st round, Sean Salisbury had a team that needed a CB (which was a correct call IIRC) picking Youboty. The other guy, I forget who it is, looked at him incredulously, like, "Youboty?"

He of course goes in the 3rd round.

nice to see our front office is always actively trying to improve the team unlike in years past. hopefully we're able to get some extra help in here that can improve the roster.

Not middle of the first round high that's for sure.

Mmm I love catfish, great bottom feeders, delicious to eat. Seriously though this is the best benefit or our lowly season, and I'm thrilled Ireland & Co. seem poised to take advantage of it. Should mean these boards will be very busy as the teams pair down their rosters. These next few months will be incredibly entertaining!

This is a front office that does its homework .They will pounce on anyone that any team tries to sandbag .

And we get first dibs on the cuts.

Its likely we will be going after Cowboy players who they try to clear waivers and their cuts with a fine toothed comb..

We shouldn't look for all big names or popular names because a lot of times the real Gems come from the unknowns. I am sure Ireland and Parcells will be doing their homework and picking up players with a good upside and show some kind of promise.

What Ireland said basically reiterates what Sparano mentioned in his QAM interview earlier this week. Sparano expects the bottom part of our roster to be continually evolving throughout the season. They'll definitely have their eyes focused on quality teams like NE and Dallas and teams that have a positional surplus that may fit their needs.
