Wow. First of all, he rarely got hit in the face on the counters to the leg kicks. I don't know what the hell this judge was watching.

Second... let's re-read this. "Shogun kicked Machida in the belly - that's how he got the red mark. But you gotta remember, Machida is stepping back, so when he gets kicked, he's getting brushed."

So, you mean to tell me that Machida is getting kicked hard at all, but he's having giant red welts left where he is getting kicked? WHAT?

Wait. Shogun controlled the tempo of that round, but because Machida didn't let Shogun knock him out, Machida gets the win for that round? What? How does that make sense? "He was dominant in not getting beat up." Wow. That's just atrocious logic, IMO.

I can actually see his logic there, and it would make sense... if Rua didn't actually just outright beat Machida.
