Every practice starts the same. General Warmups nothing note-worthy here. Did not see David Martin at all today. Ferguson was back with the 1st team today. Donald Thomas was participating with 1st 2nd and 3rd team. He was looking really good too. Notable Plays: 11 on 11 Donald Thomas pancaked Akin Ayodele on a run to the left side. It was a nasty block. Kendal Langford pressuers Pennington in what would of been a sack. Reggie Torbor bats down a Chad Henne pass Pennington tosses left to Ronnie Brown in what was an 80yd TD. They wouldn't of caught him had he been running full speed Chad Henne hand off to Patrick Cobbs, about a 15yd gain. Tony McDaniel worked right end with the first team a few times. Chad Pennington had a nice 20yd completion to John Nalbone. Chad Pennington had a PERFECT pass to Anthony Fasano went for about 30 yards. He dropped it in between 2 defenders, absolutely perfect throw. 7 on 7 (Red Zone - 20yd line) Vontae Davis broke up a would be touchdown pass from Henne intended for Lex Hilliard. Henne had a nice 20yd TD pass to Ronnie Brown Henne threw another would be TD to Lex Hilliard but he dropped it. Pat White made a nice throw to Ernest Wilford about a 15yarder to the 5yd line. It was a nice catch by Wilford. White throws a 20 yd TD to Anthony Kimble. Oline vs Dline 11 on 11's and O line drills. Shawn Murphy did not look good today, struggled in pass blocking particularly on stunts. He also struggled with some false starts and missed assignments Long and Smiley are looking like 1 unit. Handling stunts like they were both one player. Vernon Carey looked very good against JT's pass rush. Brandon Frye looked good today as well. Overrall Ernest Wilford made some nice catches today. Donald Thomas looked very good, looks like he's coming back from that injury well. The receivers looked good today, didn't see many drops. I think Chris Clemons had probably the best practice today. He was involved on every play, looked very comfortable out there.
Donald Thomas coming back a month early is a real boost, now if Roth could get the sack of ice off of his sack, perhaps we will head into the season with everyone fit and healthy. Great write up Nolephin!
Thanks guys, I am glad you guys appreciate the write-ups. I am not a professional of any kind when it comes to reporting or football, but if you had any questions about TC I will do my best to answer them.
