Tannehill completed 17 of 24 passes for 240 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions for a 130.6 passer rating. It was his first rating over 100 this season and the second-highest of his career, behind only the perfect 158.3 he put up last season in a victory against the Houston Texans.

Perhaps most impressive was the fact his two longest completions of the game came on plays where he took a big hit immediately after releasing the ball — the 39-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Stills and the 56-yard completion to DeVante Parker.

“The guy is a beast,” Head Coach Adam Gase said. “He just stands back there. There was one of them he threw, I thought he was pressured a little bit, and he got rid of the ball and he comes in and he says, ‘I have to stay in there.’ He just has some kind of toughness where he just is going to stand in there. He takes a shot. He takes care of his body and he’s able to bounce back up.”
