Tailgating at cash lots (outside of stadium)

Do you know what time the cash lots open? I would like to get there around 1pm and start tailgating. I know the stadium gates won't open until 4 hours prior to game time. Are there any areas to tailgate earlier than 4 hours before kickoff???
