with henne, we can comeback. even though we didn't today with henne, we can make long plays with his arm. with pennington the chance of getting a play over 30 yards is really slim
Is it me, or does the team seem worse then last year? Last year we lost 6 games by 3 points or less, that means we were in those games. Last year the line seemed to have better poise and confidence. Last year, the offense seemed better. Who would have thought that I'd long for the days of the 2007 season?!?
It's not you, they're worse. And the worst part is, it's not just the youth or lack of talent, it's the lack of preparation and concentration. That's stuff the coaches should be instilling.
I feel the same, I also tought that having Pennington would give us a edge in offense, now my thinking is going in reverse and I start to believe that is very hard to win with a QB that is very limited.
Last year's team utilized the offensive personnel in a fantastic manner during the early parts of the season. While our defense was atrocious, Trent Green, Chambers, and especially Ronnie were churning out yards and the offensive line was playing a simpler zone scheme. This non-sense of not playing Jason Allen, Ted Ginn Jr., Derek Hagan, and Ronnie Brown must stop. They are better players than their replacements.
True. But then again, the unfortunate part about that is that we have to watch them play "offense" for at least three plays...
I'm seriously starting to think we do 0-16 this year. If that happens, I think we'll have more losses in 4 years than even the 1976-79 Tampa Bay Bucs had (remember the Bucs made the NFC Championship in their 4th year), and maybe ever in the NFL. Our fan base should be given credit for that.....even if the stadium is half full, that would be almost too much to expect of fans. Even Cubs fans haven't been through that much.
By the way, for the 1st time in years, I saw empty seats throughout the game in KC. Even they have had enough there in one of the most rabid of fan bases.
I doubt we go winless. It's very, VERY hard to do that. Eventually, we will luck into an early lead, and as I mention in the article, this team should theoretically play well with a lead.
Doc, I hope you are right my friend, I hope you are right. I don't want to go 0-16 after 1-15.....that would be just too much to take. I would feel like an FIU supporter.
