Tonight, I am purchasing a Blu-Ray player. I need suggestions on what my first Blu-Ray movie should be...bear in mind, I buy a LOT of DVDs, so things like "The Dark Knight" or "Pineapple Express" I already have. Help!
Own it...is there a HUGE difference in quality? Because I am not opposed to owning say 300 or The Dark Knight in multiple formats...
That was the only BR DVD I bought for my PS3 (before I sold it) and it looked amazing, but if you already own it I don't see the point in buying it again just for that reason. Some may disagree however.

Wall*E is great. It's tough to beat that overall. Visually, Speed Racer is THE best movie out there on blu-ray. Audio wise, it's tough to choose between Black Hawk Down, Hellboy-2, and the Matrix trilogy. Here's what they say at AVS: A quick glance shows Wall-E, Hellboy 2, Incredible Hulk, and Kung-fu panda are top tier in both. I'd suggest you start with those.
Like Cloverfield's mode where you can watch the movie while simultaneously tracking the GPS positions of the monster, the military and the camera. You can't do that on DVD.
Well, I went with The Incredible Hulk. It was about the only thing I wanted that I didn't already have. Can't wait to watch it again now that I have the proper equipment to do so. Stitches, thanks for the list-I'm definitely going to refer to that as I start to build a new library.
