I am attempting to be realistic here, but it is very possible that a different Michigan player is being looked at with #32:

Rd 1, pick 1- Glenn Dorsey, DT/DE, LSU
Rd 2, pick 32- Mario Manningham, WR, Michigan
Rd 2, pick 57- Brad Cottam, TE, Tennessee
Rd 3, pick 64- John Greco, OT/OG, Toledo
Rd 4, pick 100- Jeremy Zuttah, OT/OG, Rutgers
Rd 6, pick 195- Curtis Johnson, OLB, Clark-Atlanta
Rd 6, pick 204- Davonzo Tate, CB, Akron
Rd 7, pick 208- Spenser Larsen, ILB, Arizona
Rd 7, pick 245- Bernard Morris, QB, Marshall
Rd 7, pick 253- Andrew Crummey, OG, Maryland

Dorsey would be better off as a 4-3 DT. Cottam is a Reach in round 2. I would much rather grab a CB there and either drop Greco/Zuttah for a TE Like Finley in the 4th or Rucker.

I'd definitely be disappointed with those 2nd round picks, otherwise its not to bad. Wouldn't be overly excited though overall.

    No thanks to Rucker.

Dorsey would be a better fit in a 4-3 DT, but he can succeed at 3-4 DE IMO, and is BPA.

Cottam is a reach, but that of the players I envision being available at that spot, I think the FO goes to him.

And we will be drafting at least two OL this draft, and have spent a lot of time with Greco, and Zuttah seems like the type of player our FO would like.

Wow I really like that mock. If we pass on Ryan, Bernard Morris is the guy I think we should get assuming Brohm and Flacco are gone by the 2nd. Morris could be steal someday. He's the only QB other than Ryan, Flacco, Brohm that excites me. Really like the Larsen pick. Crummey is great value there. The only guy I dont know is Davonzo Tate. Nice job and you got me a QB :up:

I'd be disappointed with the 2nd pick, not so much the 1st one.

I'm glad you like it. I don't even like it that much, but this and yours seem much more realistic than other drafts I have done (sig for example).

I'm trying to prepare myself for a draft day where we pick a few players I won't be excited about and am puzzled by them picking.

Eh, can't get excited about Manningham for some reason. I'd much rather take Arrington in the 6th. The 2nd-3rd rounds are gonna be a goldmine, to come away with those guys would be very disappointing.

Yeah that's why I did mine. Trust me, it killed me to pass on Tracy Porter and take Charles Godfrey instead but I just thought Godfrey was more a Parcells type. If I did mine the way I wished it would go it would've been so different

John Carlson, we cant pass on 2 ND players we need in consecutive years can we :( After his poor combine workout he could be had in the 3rd perhaps? Though he did make up his 40 time pretty nicely at his pro day.

Manningham wouldnt do much to excite me either.

You're right, I wanted Mayo to be there at 32, but couldn't envision him making it for some reason. I didn't envision Cherilus being there either, but Baker was. I think Manningham would be a good compliment to Ginn though. He runs crisp routes, catches well, can jump enough, and is fast enough (high 4.3s at his pro day).

As for Cottam, I see Fred Davis, Bennett, and Keller being off the board and Ireland reaching on Cottam because he doesn't want to miss out on him.

I just think there will be much better options available than those two.

Not bad, I doubt we take Manningham that high maybe with #57.....Most believe Dorsey "cant" play in the 3-4 that coupled with his health issues really worry me when your talking 30+ guaranteed money.

BTW I love the Larson pick:up:

I don't see us taking Dorsey with the 1st pick. Not a huge need with us trading for Ferguson and picking up Starks. To me would be a wasted pick....IMO

I wouldn't be so sure, I'm sure he will play there a good bit but he could also play NT. He's pretty close to the same size as Ferguson.

Well, after the first 3 picks, I wouldn't be able to watch the rest of the draft because my remote would be through my TV.
Hell, that might happen right after pick #1.
    Dorsey, ughhhhh......

Yeah, I know....but I really don't like those first three picks, at least not at those spots.
Dorsey doesn't fit and Maninngham and Cottam are reaches at the those spots IMO.
