Aqua Vision and the other colors rock. Novelty may wear off but still cool as hell imo. Also some have wondered about the shadows from the girders on a afternoon. It was once said that the lights will be on even during game days. will this mitigate that?
One of the whole reasons that they did it the way that it was done was to give an advantage on game day, making certain that the opposing sideline was in the sun as much as possible while the Fins sideline and the fans were in the shade. I doubt they would do anything to lessen this effect. The lighting will likely be mostly over the seated areas for fans, like in Dallas.
I just hope it stays that way for some time. Among the things I despise are the ever-changing stadium names and the same with golf-tournaments. At least keep a portion of the original. I mean, who the h*## would know where the Northern Trust Telecom Open is played or that it really is the L.A. Open unless they were a diehard golf fan (and, of course, when that company goes under then someone else will take over). At least keep something in the name that tells you where the stadium is. But, Hard Rock is a good name.
Reports out there that the deal is for 18 years. It is going to be hard rock stadium for a long long time.

Interesting that the videos seem to feature soccer as much as the Fins. I guess Hard Rock is trying to reach a global audience with the sponsorship.

The Stadium looks phenomenal, and I can't wait to see it on Sept 1. The pic from the front driveway, with the spire, looks like a church lol.
We got WHITE..... LINES..... "Going through my mind" yes, I know the song is talking about different white lines.
Excellent. I wonder when that picture was taken. Curious to see the shade in relation to the sidelines between 1-4pm. Also, from those shadows, does it look like there are still some roof panels that need to be inserted?
I went back through the time on the cam site, just now, and that picture looks like the exact same one at the 1:15 PM mark today.
OK, thank you! It does look a lot like the September 1pm shade study we were shown a few years back, so they did their homework properly. Part of the home sideline in the shade, as well as 90% of the fans, but the opposing sideline in the sun. Doesn't help a ton this season with only one September home game, but it will in future seasons. We do have four home games in a row before daylight savings in November though, so it will likely come into play with those. The uniform schedule posted earlier this year says we'll be wearing throwbacks for the Oct 23rd game for Buffalo, so I would expect that they think the home sideline will be in the shade the whole game that day. Also that we'll be wearing aqua for the Nov 6 Jets game.
The panels have been working their way up the south sideline for the last several days. They're knocking them out pretty quickly.
Here's a new 360.

Great angle. You get a clear picture of the added shade the ETFE provides and how much they have left to do.
