Martin... said has been devouring four meals a day, plus snacks to put on 20 pounds, to 318. That's the weight he wants to play at. He said he’s not only bigger but also “stronger and tougher.”

The Dolphins are privately very optimistic about his chances of becoming a good left tackle.

After initial discussions with the Dolphins, Koa Misi said they will not be switching him to middle linebacker and he expects Dannell Ellerbe to play the position.

“Just watching Ellerbe and [Philip] Wheeler, they seem pretty fast,” Misi said. “We’ll be making a lot of plays this year.”

Lots of good tidbits in there Jim, thanks for sharing.

Two things that really stuck out to me. 1) Lamar Miller working with Frank Gore. I think that can only be good, and there's always been that lineage at the U about helping your own. Frank Gore is damn good, so I'd hope that can only be good for Lamar as I think he and Gore are somewhat similar backs. I'm really rooting for him this year.

    2) Obvious, but Misi not moving to ILB. Obvious, but good - I think that would've been a...mess.

A good interview with Matt Williamson on the team's homepage:

Discusses Tannehill, Wallace, and the receiving corps. Talks about potential uses of Dion Jordan and his impact on Cameron Wake. Realistic expectations for year two for Ryan Tannehill. Thinks he's "...finally the answer for Dan Marino." "I liked him a lot coming out last year [2012] and I like him more now; he's a franchise QB."

Why was Martin playing at 298, anyway?

My guess is that he lost a lot of weight getting used to playing in Miami.

This is why some of us think he will be OK. He wasn't giving up sacks/hits at a poor level....it was pressures from being pushed around. So getting stronger can only help.

Also good to hear Marshall is cleared to be on field. This is going to be a dog fight at CB.

Hopefully before cuts we can flip Carpenter and one of the CB's who won't make it for late picks.

"It helps that Tannehill “always wants to work, never wants to take a second off,” Wallace said. “….I like this team. I like how everybody works. Not much talking, just grinding. That’s the way it should be. I’m one of the older guys on this team, so it’s different than being in Pittsburgh.”

    Cool..

    Odrick excited about his role..

Louis and Grimes gonna be ready to go baby.

    Miller talkin like a pro..

Like what Daniel Thomas had to say, lets go son, I think they have a chance to be a nice one two.

I like how Philbin seems to have instituted a work ethic that's not gonna be fu&$ed with..

Other thing with Martin, and some rookies is they are not naturally huge men, they have to put on weight and try to maintain it, guys like John Jerry just pack on weight but not ever player has the metabolism to do it, bet when he retires he'll go down to a more natural 260ish.
