He is one of those guys who looks 33 yrs old at 22yrs old. Enjoy
if they can get nolan carroll to play up to his potential he'll be the best of the third day picks. i like the approach they are taking with him. since he's been out of the game for so long, rather than have him line up on the slot, they will have him get comfortable with playing cornerback again. then if they arent happy with what they have on the slot they may experiment with him there. This is the guy to keep an eye on. He can play press as well as anyone. The rest of the game needs work however
agreed. he's probably going to shine or fail in 2011 but it will be interesting to watch him in preseason games just to see where he is at currently. 2nd round physical talent

Los gatos..en fuego... Besides, they fit the prototype, Ireland would run Sylvester the Cat out onto the field if he were 6'4/260/4.6... When asked about the rookie minicamp: "sufferin' succotash it's hot in Miami"
Did you watch the interviews with Odrick, Edds and Koa, Paddy? Odrick is intelligent, composed, and has the "leader" quality. He talks, you listen, kind of thing. Edds is also intelligent and composed. He had a hint of "these reporters are ridiculous" in his demeanor. Koa actually appeared to be a little meek with the spotlight.
I did. Which is why they ran a double team on him on the first play in practice, he has to earn it. I like Edds, he did appear composed. I wasn't thrilled with Koa.
That's an understatement. I was pulling for the kid by the end of the segment to finish without going full on Chris Farley. Sorry, but there were several times in that interview where he reminded me of Farley being stunned or taken aback by the question. Looked like a mixture of confusion and nervousness. I think he's a bit starstruck with all the media attention, he's gonna be a quote machine ala Tommyboy by the end of the season.
Yeah, he was obviously uncomfortable with all that attention. Let him make some plays on the field and get some experience under his belt and he'll feel more at ease. Doesn't want to step on anyone's toes, etc..
yeah, you usually dont here a coach say their "excited" about the player when the player is a 6th round pick.
Did I misunderstand the interview with Carroll? It sounded like he said they worked him a lot in the slot this mini camp, in not exclusively. It is very noisy where I am right now and I'm listening on speakers, so maybe I missed something. I know you're high on this guy, but if anyone other than Edds turns out to be the gem of the 3rd day, I'll be surprised. Speaking of Edds, one of those videos has a John Offerdahl intro lead in, and IMO the physical resemblance between Edds and Offerdahl is uncanny.
