I was going to say, if JJ Hickson and big Z is all you can get, you're in trouble. Z can't move anymore, let alone run and JJ Hickson is a nice rotational player but not a guy you can build around IMO.
There are far worse players to get than Hickson IMO, but this is just trying to get something for Amare before he leaves via FA and save cap space. If you don't think you'll win the title this year, I don't see what's wrong with moving Amare personally. Granted I want to see this trade happen so maybe I am a bit bias.
Kerr did know enough to get rid of Shaq....There's only one team Amare should play for, Miami. He doesn't fit in Cleveland....I doubt Miami has enough pieces to trade with Phoenix though...They could trade expiring contracts to the 76ers, get back Iguodala and then trade him to PHX for Amare, if the salaries match. The Heat has the best piece to trade (Beasley). JJ Hickson? LOL! BTW, this rumor was shot down by Ric Bucher as BS smoke screen stuff being put out by Cleveland.. The Cavs want Antwan Jamison.
I could see Jamisn as a better fit. He's a good shooter, and won't clog up the lane like Amare. Also, the Heat do have the best trading chip. Beasley was just the number 2 overall pick, and could be another Amare Stoudamire.
