Sounds like a shot off the starboard bow from the players

    LOL.

I hope the rookies tell Smith to stuff it. He doesn’t represent them until they sign a contract. They don’t have to do anything he says.

"Sham decertification" is exactly what the NFL is going to argue in court.

I hope they do not go. Having the players at the draft is my least favorite part of the draft coverage.

Listening to the guys working the draft in rds 5-7 is pretty bad when the subject is the players being drafted.

I actually like that part the most. I have little idea who those guys are. I enjoy learning about them. It is much better than learning about the player they have talked over an hour about, which is also a person they have talked about over and over again over the last few months.

If they were smart, smith would rent a big pontoon boat.....have all the top picks on the boat partying, start a website, make people pay $1 to view the live feed.....and make sure it goes only to the players.....screw the nfl and take viewers away from espn/nfl

You are right, it makes the coverage much better.

You don't find out about the rd 5-7 guys when listening to draft coverage. That's what I was getting at.

What incentive would they have to subject themselves to a draft instead of an open market?

Yes, they should appear on television to make other people money, not themselves.

I would hope that these guys negotiate their own TV contract to be interviewed as they are drafted.

What’s worse, spending four years making gazillions of dollars for the NCAA, or spending 5 minutes on ESPN?

I actually agree with you on that Des, these fellas only get to walk across the stage once in a lifetime, this is like a Graduation Ceremony for them, to boycott it for a Union that no longer exists for no other reason than Smith going full on ****** is a good example of Smith behaving badly.

Agree 100%. It's ridiculous for the NFLPA to tell these kids to throw away their opportunity of a lifetime. They boycott... they can never go back to that opportunity. It's like the student government telling the graduating seniors to boycott graduation.

I don't get this? I thought walking up to shake the commish's hand was a special moment for the players, not the owners. It's like getting your diploma on graduation.
