Miami Dolphins football czar Bill Parcells has no plans to shop his services to other NFL teams after vacating his office at the team's training facility, the Miami Herald reported Tuesday, citing league sources.

Parcells, who relinquished many of his powers to general manager Jeff Ireland just before the season, is calling the move "a leave of absence", team and league sources told the newspaper.

One source told the Herald on Monday night that "Bill is still performing his duties to the Dolphins, but he's choosing to do it in a different fashion."

Parcells remains open to the possibility of preparing for April's NFL Draft with the Dolphins, the newspaper reported. Regardless of the duration of the leave, Parcells told several members of the organization that he will return in some capacity but will not move anything back into his former office.

There was a clause written into Parcells' contract that stipulates if former owner Wayne Huizenga sold the team, Parcells would be paid the remaining balance of his four-year, $12 million deal regardless of whether he stays with the team or not.

When Huizenga sold to Stephen Ross last year, Parcells stayed on because he wanted to continue grooming Ireland and coach Tony Sparano. He planned to eventually leave whenever he thought they were ready.
