Don't care if they wear pink tutu's, just as long as they win games.

Put a roof/dome with an opening the size of the field. Open for most games, insure the Fins are on the shaded sideline. Then close the roof for Super Bowls, we need SB's here, helps the local economy. Wouldn't mind it if we played in a few of them either!

 

Yeah the fans are why the Miami Dolphins have sucked so bad the last decade so we don't deserve demands. Yeah SCREW winning. Screw drafting some quality players like a Qb all these years! Hell, I should have known that the problems lie around Dade and Broward county not inside the team. So lets go get some new fans and change the uniform and stadium. That'll do it! Superbowl bound.........

A fan on twitter suggested to Mike Dee that they move the seats closer to the stadium and he said that was something they were looking into !

Anyone remember the poster from finheaven who had for an avatar a dolphin with a laser on its head shooting Tom Brady? That should be the logo.

 

Well most fans who I talk to are under 40, so they have experienced as many Dolphin superbowl as I have. It has been 40 years.

 

What's someone got to do to get a friggin Dolphin with a "laser beam" attached to its head?

I don't believe that's accurate. Nike has designers who work up concepts for the league. They don't have final say, but they take basic concepts a team may have and work in concert to come up with a design the team and the NFL think are marketable.

 

Well, that's different depts there. I understand the view of those who want change. Personally I think the current design has become representative of an era of Miami Dolphins football that's gone rather stale, even though I think the uniforms themselves are fine. To many, a change represents a breath of fresh air and outlook. I recall when Bill Parcells took the Jets head coaching job and changed back to the classic Jets look because he felt (and wanted his players to feel) that it was emblematic of being a Jet. In that first year of going back to the classic look they went 12-4 and to the AFC Championship game. Did the Jersey switch actually win them any games? Not in any real measurable way. But it may have assisted in getting the team in a particular frame of mind to approach the season.

My fear is Nike. I think most of their collegiate designs look like crap. If they're going to go through with this, I'd prefer something classic that speaks to the team's history without looking like they had to consult MTV first.

I think that concept is as classy as it can get. It's serious, simple, not cartoonish. It looks aerodynamic and certainly more flush with the helmet. If they change the logo, (without going old-school) I will be furious if it isn't at least as good as this one.

 

I hate 'em. To each his own I guess. If we went to totally the same unis as the early 70s, that would make me most happy.

 

I agree with Rocky. Bruce Springsteen agrees with Rocky. You all who want those spaceman looking unis can take a long walk on a short pier as far as I'm concerned.

 

I don't see how discussing uniform changes in any more or less of a waste of time than any thing else we do here. Personally, my biggest issue has always been with the logo. I agree that it is cartoonish. I've always felt that the helmet on the Dolphin was stupid. I've also always felt that the unique aqua color was our biggest asset. I don't like the orange as anything more than an accent. Not only is it garish, but it is also common. I also like the more futuristic looking uniforms. The fact is that they look futuristic b/c they're lighter and safer. Those dinosaurs who complain about them should learn to deal b/c I see them as inevitable just b/c you'd have to be an idiot to not eventually provide your players with the safer equipment.

That's such a copout! Blame the fans because the teams record has been crap for over a decade! Almost every single team in the NFL sees a decline in attendance when it's teams suck! With the exception of a few. What you want is a dream and it aint happening in Miami!

 

Those Nike concepts that preserved the original logo were hot. I'd hand deliver those to Ross myself if I could.

 

Same here. I think people are basing their decisions on an emotional attachment more than anything. I wouldn't tell a graphic designer to base their decision on what a bunch of Dolphins fans think...

Except it has everything to do with losses! EVERYTHING!!!

This fanbase supported the team thru 90 percent of these half assed seasons in the last decade! What Ross is doing might get 10 people on board. Win some F'n games and he'll see the 35,000 that have grown tired of spending their hard earned money on a lousy product right back in their seats!

I prefer a updated old school look. keep the dolphin aqua... Who cares if that's not a color of a dolphin...lions aren't blue, ravens aren't purple, falcons don't have red stripes, buffaloes are not blue, ect...
