Not known yet because the late games could affect Miami's standing. It won't be within the top 12, though. That's already determined. The top 12 order is: 1. Houston 2. St. Louis via Washington (RG3 trade) 3. Jacksonville 4. Cleveland 5. Atlanta 6. Oakland 7. Tampa Bay 8. Minnesota 9. Buffalo 10. Detroit 11. Tennessee 12. New York Giants Miami is probably around 15. Remains to be seen.
Jests could give us a double smack down today ... win game, tie us in standings and still end up with higher (17 verse 18) pick since they have weaker schedule. Just another reason to hate those dudes http://www.drafttek.com/2014-NFL-Draft-Selection-Order.asp
****. We pick 19, Jets 18 http://www.sbnation.com/nfl-mock-draft/2013/12/29/5254962/2014-nfl-draft-order
We can either spend FA money on Oline to open up the draft or use the draft on Oline to open up FA money. Considering both the depth of first round tackles and the other positions that seem available in the mid first round [corners & pass rushers], I'm guessing we opt for the latter. I could very much see us solidifying left tackle & guard in FA and saving right tackle for the 1st round. It's not sexy but it unfortunately makes the most sense. We could always go for another 1 year stop gap at RT to free up the first round but with this nice crop of draftable guys I just don't see that being the case.
Posted this lovely news about 4 hours earlier on Jests double downing on us. Gotta love how seem to always do this to ourselves We just need to start drafting better and signing better FAs imo ... can still do both no matter where we draft
