Will the masses all of a sudden "believe" again?

Will the masses forget all of the problems that we saw the last month?

    ???

What say you for our final record on the season... (If we win today.)

All bets are off if we lose. (because the season will probably be over)

    The only thing.
So far this offence isn't lighting it up against a team that played Monday night and coming from west coast.
    Not impressed

I mean that is a valid take.... if we win today and get blown out by the Bills next week.... We are back where we started. They would have to go 7-3 in their last ten just to have a shot at the post season.

Well the first drive looked GREAT

we saw that some last year in games where the offence was lackluster for the game as a whole. (after a Great initial drive)

Probably. I didn‘t expect us to light it up today, so I like what I‘m seeing from the O today so far.

Nearly 300 yards halfway through the 3rd quarter, 4 scoring drives, and a 6.3 yard /play average.

They held Detroit to 373 yards and 20 points. Chargers to 395 and 15 points. 49ers to 353 yards and 23 points.

Gotta look at these things with a little context and reality.

There have been extremely unlikely comebacks in sports history — Leicester City won the Premiership with 5000:1 odds which is many times worse than the odds the Dolphins win the SB at the moment — so I tend to wait right up to near mathematical elimination.

I'll still pay attention to the Bills and Rams games. For me, if we lose both of those games it's reached the point of giving up on the current season. At that point I'll start hoping we lose the rest of the way to get a high draft pick. Not yet though. Imagine if we beat the Bills! Narrative changes. So I'm not giving up yet.

Unlikely. A 16 point spread would translate (I think) to something close to 50:1 odds. I don't think they have reliable conversions once you get into the higher 20's spreads, and we're talking 5000:1 odds. I doubt anything in the NFL has come close to that. Highest spread in an NFL game was 28, so it seems really unlikely anything would list as 5000:1.

Joe Burrow's best ability is his availability and let's not forget he's missed just as many games as Tua has.

Good thing Burrow has JaMar Chase or he'd have to throw to his RBs and be a game manager.

    Careful man...

We would not want me living in your head rent free.

I find it fascinating that you are so salty over Tua being a game manager.

Let's move along to the bengals.. and last night.

We cannot easily compare Burrow to Tua.

Tua has to get rid of the ball in under 3 seconds...

Last night we saw Burrow stay in the pocket.. find his man... and take a big hit right in the mouth for it.

Burrow took a ton of punishment... It was the price he paid to give chase and others more time to get open.

That gameplan is not possible with Tua.... He would be dead.

Burrow took shots to the head... several face masks... shots where they followed him into the ground landed on him and drove him into the field.... And he got up after every hit.

I do not want Burrow taking that kind of abuse... The kid is tough, but it is not ideal for the QB to take that much punishment.

The point is that Burrow stands in and allows his receivers that extra time to get open...

Tua is a rapid fire QB....

So as others have pointed out... if the opposing teams want to use their safeties and double down to remove Hill from the passing game.. Tua is going to dump off to the running backs or make little shovel passes to the tight end. He is not going to scramble like a Lamar Jackson and buy more time for players to get open... He is not going to stand tall in the pocket and get popped after he delivers a strike to a receiver.... He has to get rid of the ball in under 3 seconds. These limitations are part of what make him a game manager.

I like that the bengals just went for two there.. i wish todd bowles did that last week against the chiefs.. bowles made two mistakes.. he called timeout with 33 seconds left.. and he opted for overtime.. but hes having a solid second season post brady

It sucked that there were like 5 different penalties that could be called against the Ravens on that 2 point conversion and none of them were called. That was terrible officiating.... Welcome to the new NFL

Going for 2 instead of the tie and force overtime was stupid…STUPID!!

Sure if you make it, you look like a hero but if you don’t you lose the game and look like an idiot.

The real mistake in the game was not kicking the very makeable field goal in the second half... That was pure ****ing stupidity...They had a 7 point lead.... Kick the ****ing ball... put the points on the board.

He probably went for two because his defense was finished. They gave up over 200 yards and three touchdowns in the fourth quarter - if the Ravens win the toss, it’s most likely game over. If the Bengals win the toss and don’t score a TD, it’s most likely game over. Going for two was the Bengals best chance to win the game.

Well the Ravens defence at the end could not stop the Bengals either. When they needed to they marched down the field and scored at will...

If the Bengals won the coin toss I felt like they would win the game (I mean if the refs would call the penalties on the Ravens defence)

I see why he went for two at the end.....

But that was just the head coach trying to make up for the mistake of not kicking the field goal in the second half when they had the lead.

Ravens are a helluva team, but that pass defense is gonna bite them. I don't think they can beat 3 elite QBs in a row with that.

Not against the Chiefs and Mahomes. If you have the chance to knock them out in regulation you take it. They WILL beat you in OT. Do not go to OT with the Chiefs.
