I take it as a challenge personally to assemble the best roster I can. More then anything else, thats whats important to me to keep my mind sharp (from a football sense) and to figure out how I would go about assembling a roster around a particular core of players. I treat it like I would treat a GM job in real life. The votes are kind of like the awards given by the writers at the end of the year in the NFL (or any other sport).
This is admirable, but without the intricacies of the actual cap, restructures, pro rated bonuses, etc it becomes kind of a completely different animal than actual NFL practices which requires a bit different strategy. And the fact it's only 1 year. I can see why you'd do it that way, as I assume most everyone else does, but for me, it just doesn't hold the same appeal. Plus, sportswriters suck.
I like drafting, that's the fun part for me. Trading back and drafting, I'd think my ability there helps set up my team for the long run. Though I'm terrible at offense.
shaddup. I'll have you know that bozo tried get Jacoby back from me but I wouldn't concede. lol. Plus, Ford got hurt with the Raiders, which wouldn't have happened in Buffalo, and an uninjured Bills' Jacoby Ford just had an 800+ yard season...... in my head. Free of injury, that would've been a solid pass catching corps in the real world if I do say so myself: the speedsters Donnie Avery & Jocoby Ford on the perimeter stretching the field while Stevie Johnson works the slot. Add in Marcedes Lewis, Greg Little, James Casey, Jordan Cameron, and Spiller and you have a pretty dynamic offense that can gash defenses left and right in the run game behind a studly Oline and Marcedes Lewis essentially playing like an extra tackle, meanwhile safeties having to respect the outside vertical presence, and if safeties creep up to stop the run I get isolated matchups on the outside with a pair of the NFL's fastest receivers. Plus, Bryce Brown (7th round steal) & Spiller would've made for a nice long term 1-2 punch. Spiller would've been C.J2K. Avery at 500k was one of the better FA steals IMO. 60 catches, 781 yards, 3 TDs. At TE, Lewis, Casey, and Cameron combined for 102 catches, 1129 yards, 8 TDs. Even with Ford missing the year and Andre Caldwell not able to get involved in Peyton Manning's offense b/c of a preseason injury, my surrounding cast still tallied 4200+ yards and 23 TDs. I took some flack for supposedly overpaying on my initial bid for Thomas DeCoud ($7.0M), but it now seems like a got a bargain (6 INTs, 15 PDs), making my trade of Jairus Byrd for a high 2nd & 3rd look all the better (Byrd 5 INT, 11 PD), especially when that 2nd rounder helped me net Von Miller.
I forgot, you're an accountant. Good news, I'm choosing everyone's team for them this year. Paul you get the Browns cause we know how down with them you are.
Okay, I gotta ask, if Todd was banned, and everyone knows phinsational is Todd, why not just unban Todd? (Or ban phinsational, but I'm being nice )
Ah deflectionary tactics from a confused mind. I understand now. I'm just trying to make life easier for everyone!
be warned, I want the Chiefs and will be drafting Teo #1 overall to be the new face of the franchise.
No, he's still cool.... only he's matured beyond middle school years while you're still....... stuck there.
