Yes. The same fans who told us up and down how stupid we were for not bringing in Leinart, Young, etc. for Matt Moore.
they have been beaten into delusion and insanity at this point. Making fun of the mentally ill is not right. I hope that they don't embarrass us further, but a part of me is enjoying the comedy of it.
How awesome would it be if Ross flies one of those wildfare planes in the sky and dumps water on them? Flies his helicopter really low and throws water-balloons? That would be entertaining!
Yes, they're so ****ty, they're organizing a protest to fire a guy who's 20-28 the last 3 years as a GM. Clearly ****ty fans that don't care about the team. Keep on being a ZOMBIE, and this franchise will continue to take your money, with a smile on their faces...with Matt Moore as QB. EDIT: For the record, it's silly to protest. But don't call someone a ****ty fan while you defend Jeff Ireland of all people.
I'm not bashing any fans. I'm bashing their decision to protest on a Tuesday afternoon. In the middle of FA. After they've complained about us not landing FA's. Not only is the timing extremely curious, but one has to wonder if they are contributing to the problem more than those they're protesting against. How will FAs take this?
Im genuinely confused. I get why the protest is bad, but some of you are legit complaining about the treatment of our sub .500 GM on an internet forum where the purpose is to discuss the team. Should we just lie and say he's great? Is that what 'good fans' do?
I'm proud of my fellow fan's. Majority of our fans are tired of mediocrity. Don't stop with protests, don't buy tickets or merch. Hit them were it hurts, their wallets. This is a bad movie ,don't go.
The only thing embaressing is the record of this franchise the last decade. They should be happy they have any fans that care at all, let alone saps like me who got suckered into renewing season tickets again.
Nope, I didn't want Orton. It would fit your opinion of someone who actually isn't wearing Aqua colored glasses, though. Since you live in New York, you probably don't spend a lot (or any) money on this team anyway, right? Because I assume if you had season tickets or actually went to the game, you might be a little more upset about the product you're paying for. Or am I completely off-base?
It's ****ing hivbe mind. If you don't support EVERY DECISION The team makes, you are clearly a fake fan. Rhetoric like that belongs in a book by Stalin.
I don't. I actually thought he should have been fired with Sparano. However, the over the top exaggerations have been beaten to a pulp already.
please no. that's a train wreck of an out of control rolling downhill snowball that I really want no part in, not b/c I'm against bringing in Tebow but b/c I'm vehemently against the idea of his obnoxious, over the top portion of his fan base who cares more about Tebow than they do the team. That's not a knock on Tebow or the average Tebow fan b/c I actually like the guy; it's b/c I loathe the baggage that comes with him. His overbearingly die-hard fan base does more to create tension and conflict among the team, organization, and fan base than they do proper support of the team, and once they're here they'll be impossible to control, and no young QB we bring in will be given a fare shake thanks to the scary Tebow-mania lynch mob presence.
A protest at this point in time is scary. The last time we totally went ape****, Ireland threw two 2nd round picks and $50 million at Brandon Marshall. He already tried send a 2nd-4th (depending on the report) and $6 million to Kyle Orton. You protest now and he'll offer Alex Smith a player/coach position and the Niners a 5th rounder to pull their offer. You need to be protesting after the draft. Firing the GM now simply can't happen.
lol Whatever absolutes you have to use to make it easier for you to understand. I can't believe that me viewing the team with no bias is that hard of a concept for you and others but it is what it is. Completely off-base. I went to the 2nd Bills game last season. Doesn't matter though, if I was that angry at the FO I wouldn't spend money on the team. Not that it has anything to do with the topic anyways.
A. Don't put words in people's mouths. B. I didn't want Clark or Crowder or Dez Bryant. I just find it insane people would defend someone who three separate players cited as a reason they declined to come here or didn't want to play here. And in Clark's case it is a FACT we had the best offer.
A. Don't act like someone not being able to not act like a robot or whatever you said is a legitimate reason for anyone to be fired. B. 3 players not liking one GM doesn't break my heart. It's a business where grown men disagree but unfortunately some are too emotional or immature to not take it personally.
well..he owns the team we root for. We can't fire him. BTW, that stadium experience is as bad as some POW camps. They should hand out orange jump suits for the fans to wear when they walk in. it is a depressing and forsaken place.
TBH, I personally don't mind him as a GM. I like his eye for talent (including players and coaches), and I'm ok with his vision of the team, and I believe he's above average in both of these areas. However I agree--- he probably should do more listening and less talking during FA negotiations. There are still some existing FA & Draft scenarios that leave us better in 2012 than we were in 2011, so I'm presently taking a wait and see approach. If he screws the rest of FA and our draft sucks, then I'll jump right into the lynch line with you.
They don't have to fire the ****ty fans. They have been driven off. Taken a look at attendance lately? Now they are working on driving off the good, loyal fans.
You really expect him to turn it around that fast? It takes a long time in most cases to change a whole culture. NO is the exception considering what the city went through.
I'm no Ireland fan, but firing him now is out of the question. I'm just as frustrated as anyone but we've got to give him the draft and see what Philbin does with the talent he provides this year. If we finish with another subpar season, and poor QB play is the biggest reason, then, IMHO, it will be time to call for Ireland's head. Hell, I'll fly down there and join in.
That's a loyal fan for you. Gave money to a division rival who then were able to take that money and put it toward signing Mario Williams.
So you continued to avoid the fact that you can't comprehend that people aren't either Anti or Pro Ross? Miami has gotten plenty of my money over 28 years in merchandise. The fact that I don't dole out $500 on a plane ticket to see them play at home doesn't break my heart either.
Could you imagine if we had a top FA prospect coming in for a visit and he's welcomed by a fan protest? ...... and then those same fans would complain that we didn't land the player.
