The following is my take on the Miami Dolphins next draft...and beyond.

    Chris Long: DE
    Dolphins Draft Value: 5 Stars
    Overall Draft Value: #2

Chris could help the Dolphins defense take a step in the right direction. He will create early throws by QB's from his endless motor applying pressure. He will also help stuff the run. When he is pressuring the QB the DB's will make more plays. That is the simple formula in the NFL. Pressure the QB and your DB's will make more plays. He is all about football and no trouble. He will be a leader on the team for years to come. If this happens and Miami takes him with their top pick. Then look for JT to be traded for a 2nd round pick.

    Darren McFadden
    Dolphins Draft Value: 4.5 Stars
    Overall Draft Value: #1

Yeah Miami has Ronnie Brown. Yeah Miami has Ricky Williams. Yeah Miami has Jesse "FreakN" Chatman. But Ronnie is coming back from an injury that will take 2 seasons before he is back to 95%. Then the real challenge starts...can he have faith in his legs? Ricky is the short term answer and will be dealt days before the draft for a 4th or 5th round pick. I would not trade him but he will get dealt. Jesse will some how find a way to stick around Cam and challenge the starting RB for playing time. If Miami did not have Ronnie Brown this would be an easy pick. If they do draft him look for Ronnie Brown to be dealt to the Falcons for a D. Hall and a 3rd round pick. His contract will be up in 2 seasons and will need 2 seasons to get his form back.

    Glenn Dorsey
    Dolphins Draft Value: 4 Stars
    Overall Draft Value: #3

He will stuff the run and eat up some NFL RB's. He does have the quickness to get after the QB and apply pressure from a position that few DT's in the game today can. But there are some questions about him during the season. He has some injury problems, but has not showed to be injury prone. He can chase down most RB's in the backfield on pulling plays. He does have a really good motor, but has shown to take off some plays. That could be from him playing through injuries. He could jump back to the top of the board if he has a much better bowl game than the other guys. But in the end I think he will go #3 or #4 overall in the draft.

I have seen Ryan play vs. VA Tech twice this season. He has really good pocket awareness and can make all the throws. He has shown that he can handle the pressure in big games. The first game vs. VA Tech he made so many great plays in the CLUTCH within the last 2:00 minutes. He did not do much before that and that is what made me think he can really play. He did it in a hostile surrounding vs. a GREAT Defense with the GAME on the LINE. Sure the D did not have it's best LB that just happened to seal the 2nd game for the Hokies. But Ryan still showed that he is the BEST QB coming out this season. Not the best QB in college football...the best coming out.

Miami will not make some incredible leap back into the playoffs next season. They will be a TOP 5 or TOP 10 pick next season. They will give Beck another year trying to be the starter now. If he does not get the job done, back to the bench for more training. That will open the door to Miami trading up or just drafting T-Bow...IF he comes out next season. Either way Miami needs to hit at least 2 of the Top 4 picks the next 2 seasons. Otherwise we could give a new low for describing a team that has no chance to win. Bungles...nothing....Fish out of water will be the new joke.

Miss a free agent...it hurts the cap. Miss a Top 5 pick and your team could be hurting for YEARS from CAP HELL!!!
