It'll be interesting to see if the Fins continue to give Sanders a chance, or dump him and move on to someone else like they've been doing most of the past decade. I like him, and he's only likely to get better.

Here's the thing the news story danced around- he missed both 70 yard tries (each was about 3 yards short). They did say his kick from 65 would have made it from 73 though!

It'll be interesting to see if he gets more chances under Flores than he did under Gase. The last few years, the Fins were on the extreme, extreme low end in FG attempts every season. I don't know if that was by design or just a function of how Gase runs things, but it was weird.

Last season, Sanders only missed two tries. 47 yards at the very end of the game vs Detroit, and 51 yards vs Jacksonville. He had five games where he wasn't asked to attempt a single try, and only had six FG attempts in the first seven games, and four attempts in the final six games.

When I hear a guy can kick from 70 in practice I imagine he can kick from about 65 to 67 tops in game if it all goes right.

It's so much harder when people are really trying to block your kick.
