Desidesforum_veteranOPAt least one beat writer isn't overreacting and trying to get some national attention with the Marshall punting thing.
Several minutes later, Marshall addressed the media for the first time since punting a football in frustration on Monday.
But not before he got a prop.
He asked Dolphins VP of media relations Harvey Greene to get a football from the field. Then he asked Greene to toss it towards him. Marshall stepped back and, in flip-flops, softly punted it.
“Any questions?” Marshall said, smiling.

“You guys aren’t really good journalists,” he said of his Monday punt. “Because you reported it wrong. It didn’t make it over the fence. It stayed in the facility.”
As I blogged yesterday, there’s nothing wrong with what Marshall did. He was lashing out at himself, not the organization or a teammate or any other person.
“This is first time in four years where I’m completely happy,” Marshall said.
Is he feeling extra pressure due to the contract?
“The pressure to do what?” he said. “Catch a football? I’ve been doing that since I was six years old.”

Yes, he’s had problems before.
But caring too much should not be considered a problem.
“Down here, it’s new to you guys because I’m a new guy,” Marshall said. “But a year from now, you’ll say, ‘That’s just Brandon.’…. I honestly believe you should be harder on yourself than anyone else.”
It doesn’t hurt to have some fun at your own expense.
Marshall did that Wednesday.

Very solid guy that does not feel the need to feed the drama machine the way some of the south Florida media guys do and dosent seem to have too big an ego.
Brandon Marshall will be just fine. He may or may not catch 100 balls this year or even score 10-12 TDs but i wouldnt expect him to be far off on either of those numbers.
